Daniel To Ps Rumor

Recommended Posts

If that happens, does FCP the site go under, or just stay out of the US market, or continue on its own?
I'd say poker site goes bye-bye as I'm guessing most of the people who actually play on FCP were drawn there because of him. Forums stay.Edit: The poker site is soooo bad, I can't really see why else you'd play there (other than the big overlay in that 100K this last weekend)

I didnt expect him to comment on his destination. I just wanted to know if there is a future for this forum and blog if the rumours are true.
My agent, Brian Balsbaugh talks to lots of companies about potential endorsement deals or sponsorship deals. Half the time, I'm totally unaware of who he is talking to as he is a busy guy that's on the phones a lot. The vague rumor report on pokernews.com has some truth to it. The online poker landscape has changed dramatically since the UIGEA and there is tons of speculation about what the future holds. Recent news is actually rather promising as there seems to be more of an effort to make this an issue in Washington.
Here's an answer for you. You can sleep now.

I agree. I'd imagine he could get a much better deal with poker stars than with tilt. Tilt already has some of the best/most known players in the game: Ivey, Matusow, Harman, etc. Stars hasn't ever had a real poker star (Hachem is just starting to become one). I'd think Stars would offer him a nice deal where tilt would probably offer him the same as Cunningham, Benyamine, Harman, Juanda, and the list goes on-and-on. My 2 cents...
If Barry Greenstein isn't a "real poker star" then I don't know who is.

I think what he means by "Star" is players like Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey, Doyle Brunson etc. who are great players, but they also appeal to the broad ESPN mainstream audience. Barry Greenstein is a great player no doubt about it, but he doesn't have super star marketability. (I don't think I've ever seen Greenstein in a PokerStars ad)Another Example: JC Tran is one of the best players in the world, and I don't think he is sponsored at all. The target mainstream audience for sites like, Full Tilt and PokerStars don't know who he is.

He is leavinghttp://www.casinocitytimes.com/news/articl...ontentID=165669"Negreanu may end poker endorsement deal with Full ContactBy Ryan McLane1 May 2007Daniel Negreanu, one-time owner and long-time front man for Full Contact Poker, is seeking other endorsement opportunities now that his FCP contract is about to expire, his public relations company said."We haven't made any decisions but likely will soon," said Brian Balsbaugh, CEO of Negreanu's management firm Poker Royalty. "As you can imagine, Daniel is a hot commodity."Full Contact's apparent reluctance to re-sign Negreanu is similar to Absolute Poker's move earlier this year to release their endorsement deals with poker players and focus on alternative advertising.Negreanu has been reluctant to sign with other sites in the past, focusing his attention on his original home at FCP. There, Negreanu interacts with players and updates both his written and video blogs almost daily.A player with Negreanu's multi-media star power is sure to attract attention from most of the premier online poker sites, but for now, Negreanu is just weighing options."We haven't made any decisions but likely will soon," Balsbaugh said. http://www.pokernews.com/The story in the blue rumour section has you in negtoiations with major pokersites. ussually poker rumours are just that rumours, but pokernews has a good track record when they post something like that. I congradulate you on getting a major endorsement deal. But I would like to know what the future of this forum and your blog is.TY

The Forums were here long before there was any online poker being played here. Since this arena is a seperate entity from the online poker interests I see no reason why the foum would not stay and be re named? But changing away from FCP would mean that a good part of this world would have to go through an extensive renovation and re-designing phase. Those changes would cause posting disruptions and might take a good while to complete. These are very interesting times but change is inevitable in everything. I'm sure this will all work out. I find this kind of exciting really....be interesting to see how it all goes! :club:

I consider myself a man of faith, but if somebody seriously gets upset about the nickname "Jesus", that's just rediculous. It's not as if he's claiming to be the 2nd coming of Christ. He was given the nickname by his appearance. Even though, the real Jesus wouldn't have looked anything like that, but that's neither here nor there.
The real Jesus was black.

I can understand if DN doesnt agree with CF using the name Jesus, but to have a bitter argument about it would seem petty. I'm not saying anything is true or not but I do think fighting over trivial things like that is dumb

so, are you saying that he was "African American"?J
That's not what I'm saying. I just mean that he was dark-skinned, and not the "white guy" that society portrays.Plus, I mainly just said it because I wanted to see if it would start anything. It doesn't really matter what color he was.

Has it been confirmed that DJC001 is really Dane. That's the real question.
Exactly what I was thinking. If it isn't Dane it is his evil twin sister Donna Jane.
