Low Blind Near Bubble Scenario + Brag

Recommended Posts

So i have been 10 tabling the 5 dollar 9 mans for a couple weeks to make some money to pay off some stuff ( :club: ) and i figured i could make a nice little hourly even at this level that would still be better than some random job. Well i kind of wanted to do well at it and get that little star next to my name (mrbumpkin) and last night i finally got it. Well anyway here is my situation....PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)SB (t8180)BB (t2610)UTG (t410)MP (t1240)Hero (t1060)Preflop: Hero is Button with Jclub.gif, Aspade.gif. UTG raises to t410, 1 fold, Hero raises to t1060Villains range here is so wide i think its a push but what do you think about having the bigstacks left to act behind? At first i thought this was an insta push but now im not so sure. Thoughts?

I think you have to call since he is desperate, and if you call its not like you're going to fold for 600 more, you're committed, so you may as well push to isolate. P.S. what does the star mean and what do you have to do to get it?

Over the last 500 games i have the 14th highest average profit per sng which is kind f sweet because it means i somehow gained a bit of prfit by 10 tabling.
How do you have the highest profit per SNG playing $5? Even if you are 10-tabling.

Well i was never intending on just calling. I think its a push/fold here and folding 5 handed is quite tight but 4 handed i think its a fold.
It depends on which of the 5 stacks is gone and who got the chips!

As an added question lets say its on the bubble CO has 2000 Button has 2500 and im in the SB with 2100ish ( i am not trying to get exact numbers just close enough to make the question relevant) and the BB has all the chips at 6k. Now i pickup 55 and the blinds are starting to rise and everyone is fighting. I have moved in a couple times in SB before. Do i fold or push? doesn't my previous tendencies increase his calling range especially at a lower level. Also what if i was the button and have JJ and stacks are all similar? Is it an insta shove or should you really evaluate because three of the stacks are so close to busting?

Grats on your good run. Had one of these a couple weeks ago.Currently experiencing real bad variance.Just last night:Flopped set of 8's with a flush draw on the board. He raises and I push. He calls getting .3/1 with the draw and sucks out on the turn. (I pushed because it was a $4.40)KK vs 9To after I reraised his 150 leadout to 400 PF with 25/50 blinds. He flops 2 pr. (And is proud he called the PF raise.)Call a shorties push with QQ. He 2prs his T5 on the flop.Flop a set of Q's and get all my chips in. Called by KK and he rivers the case K.AKs twice in a row vs 22 and then 44. Bricked em both.Didn't win a dime last night, and my SNG profit number went negative for the first time in a quite a while.Thinking of freerolling for a while to work through this.
