Eventually, after being coerced by threats of additional charges and a couple of bluff-runs at him, charges are dropped.Other than that, it is fairly typical tale over-zealous enforcement of morality laws. There is obviously some political motivation for raids like these.Actually, you can blame the police, particularly in a city that's as crime-ridden as Dallas (top three most dangerous cities in America).Police are charged with the responsibility of allocating resources that serve in the best interest of the public.Sending in SWAT teams to break up poker games is a flagrantly wasteful use of police resources, a gross injustice that offends against basic sense and an offensively excessive use of law enforcement authority. When you live in a city that is the third most dangerous in the entire United States yet you're allocating substantial man-hours and enforcement resources to breaking up home poker games, that kinda explains why the city is such a crime-pit. It also serves as a substantial indictment on the police themselves, who either too scared to go after actual criminals, too stupid to catch them, too incompetent to have any impact or a combination of the aforementioned. Just insane!!! What the helll is this country coming to? Boy!, they sure sav ed the world with THAT raid!!! How much time and manpower was wasted on this? Hard working, professional people, enjoying a quiet fun filled evening of poker amongst like minded friends.....good lord....it's like Communist Russia or something.Very sad and very scary.MESSAGE TO GOVERNMENT, OF EITHER PARTY,....STAY THE 'F' OUT OF OUR LIVES PLEASE!
