Hey Mitch, I think somebody in the FCP-X group on facebook posted that question on the wall. Fact is, if I meet up with a bunch of FCPers I kind've want to interact and play with the crew. A casino pretty much divides us; diff stakes, table games, strippers...wait, no that's a good thing. k, everything but the last one.The FCP tournaments are entertaining and Jay always does a good job of bringing FCP goodies to make it a fun forum thing. If you're wanting more cash games vs. tournaments I'm sure that can be arranged too. I'd much rather see and chat with everyone and if there's rake free poker that's a bonus.In fact, Jay just got a new crib so.... My 2 cents anyways.

are there even any 1-2NL, 2-4L games going late at night at fallsview or casino niagra. i finish exams late on tuesday and looking at heading there before moving back to ottawa.also what limits run at rama? might have to check it out over the summer

Hey all. There's a set of tournaments scheduled at the Brantford Casino starting June 10 I think. They're pretty expensive and I can't afford the buy-ins (500, 1000, and 1500), but they have 50 ppl rebuy/addon sats everyday until then. I'm gonna try to make it there on the weekends for a couple of shots at it starting this weekend.Anyone planning on doing the same thing??

1/2 and 2/5 NL. 5-10 to switch it up. but once my roll is where i want it, i'l start playing 2-5NL and 10/20 fulltime. makes the trips more worth it, like the other day o spent 5 hours and was up 60.. which is better than losing, but still..

I used to go to Rama often (before exams started) and I can tell you that the 10/20 game is very soft. Full of regulars but they really don't have a concept of proper strategy. Whenever I go I play in this game or the 1/2NL. You just have to play tight, because these people generally won't fold. There are some good players but the bad outweight the good.Also I'm 99% heading up for the bi-weekly tournament next week.

Teddy,The games (no matter the level) are soft at rama. But not that soft. Yes they are filled with the same regulars, and yes these regulars have never posted on a forum or read a book on strategy, but they do play everyday and have an "ok" understanding of solid poker. You gotta remember too, at Rama, (and Ontario for that matter) you play at 11 man cash game tables. not 9. so playing tight is key. You also get a lot "rouder-esque" players there. Guys who will play any Ace, to any raise. and most importantly, they pray on small pairs, suited cards and connecting cards.The players there would rather limp into a multiway pot with 7,8 suited than be HU with aces.

the 270 + 30?I've played those, Gawd they suck. blinds increase too fast in relation to starting stack. Its kinda brutal IMO.I heard that Blue Heron had tourneys every so often.

Yeah but a good number of the players who play in that tournament are terrible.Also some of the regulars there make me laugh...like the guy who spends his whole day, 7 days a week grinding out 2/5 limit.

which one? there is a few low limit grinders.lots of em are making the switch to NL and tightened up their game. easy pickins

The middle aged (40?) looking gentleman with the mullet and the same baseball cap.But yeah NL is taking over that casino. Now they only have 1 table of 5/10 and have cut down some of the 2/5 tables.

I was just in Casino Niagara last week and to my surprise there wasnt even one LIMIT game...All no limit at both casinos...If you like limit poker, Port Perry is the place to play...games are 5-10, 10-20,20-40 and sometimes higher 40-80 games are spreadI am up for a FCP home game if anyone is willing to run one...

no offense taken. I was actually dissapointed I didn't get to play you, Ray and Jamie in the cash game...I was really looking forward to kicking ur butts ;)the deep stack tournament was fun and I'd like to do another one of those with a good cash game afterwards. we just need a few hosts to step up. my crib is definitely too small for anything beyond 8-9 players.
