I think the OP is confused and thinks that every rape/murder should be national news. Sadly, it's common enough to not be all over the broadcast networks.JJJ, you're right. I don't know why I said West Virginia. I still get confused about the fact that they are separate states. Aren't they?

Dont get me wrong I do not like that any of this happened, its a tragedy. But it is news worthy. All that stuff with Anna Nicole is a joke and I am sick of hearing about who the father of her child is. She is a crack head

It was a lot more than just a simple murder. Both of them were raped and tortured, and the girl was tortured for several days. I can absolutely guarantee you that if the perpetrators were white and the victims were black, this would have been almost as big as the OJ case.I dont want to turn this into a huge racial issue, but isnt it a little weird that white-on-black crimes are given massive coverage, while black-on-white crimes are almost entirely ignored?

No. The media loves dead white girls. Black people die and the media barely bats an eye. This is not a new phenomenon. Ask Jon Benet, Laci Peterson, etc. etc. etc.By the way, remember a decade ago when the country's riveting news story was that the president got a blow job in the oval office from his intern?

Why didnt they love this one then?It's true that the media loves to report on attractive white girls and tends to ignore black crime victims(until recently). They also tend to report more when a group of people is involved.But that makes the complete silence on this case all the more glaring.A white girl suffers one of the most brutal killings I have ever heard of at the hands of a group of people, and it doesnt get so much as a mention by anyone.

Well, she's not really attractive... maybe she didn't meet the media's criteria.I also how the OP completely missed this part of the article...
Again the men arrested today are not being called suspects, they are simply people of interest, but even with three people in federal custody, the investigation is still far from over.
through looking at the second link it seems more has come out since it was written.
