HubDub04 0
As far as hotel and airfare goes? This is gonna be my first WSOP and I need as many pointers as I can get from the WSOP veterans on this site. I am planning on going out there for the first $1500 event on the 2nd of June thru the 9th or 10th and I got a price of $723 for 9 nights at the Four Queens hotel and roundtrip airfare.I know that I don't wanna stay on Fremont St. because of the costs of cab fares. Anyone know of anywhere I can get better deals or have any advice? Thanks in advance!
grocery_mony 8
Sounds like a good rate considering its 9 nights. Consider renting a car to save on cabs. I ussually get a rate of around $20-25 a day from dollar rent a car.

I stayed at the Sahara last summer during the WSOP and it was very cheap, it was basic had 2 beds and an old TV but was clean and the staff was nice so it was everything I needed. Its at the end of the strip but it has its own monorail stop which can be just as fast or faster than cab/car during busy times. It didn't take long to get to the Rio with a monorail to Bally's/Harrah's and then a free shuttle trip. Imperial Palace is a little closer in the center of the strip and also has great deals from what I've heard.Something to keep in mind that I didn't realize is that even though the WSOP is on Vegas numbers are generally down during that time because its summer as its so f'ing hot... so expect to get rooms cheaper that just about any other time of the year. and GL win a bracelet TP/MM etc.
Jrobb25 0
There are like 5 hotels that have a WSOP player rate. I got my for the RIo and 100 dollars a night. So I don't trust them online. We're probably going to stay at Harrahs on the strip because its kind of central and decent, and price is an issue for a couple guys. I think it will be around $850 for June 1 through the 5th. I'll post after I book...Mark
Fatty McSlim 0
Try the Gold Coast. I stayed there last year, pretty nice. Flat screen TV, clean room, soft bed, right across the street from the Rio. I took the money I won for accomodations and used it to pay for the GC and another small buy-in event instead of the big one
rjf826 0
I got excalibur for the 2nd through 7th for $365+ tax. Checked out Luxor and it was closer to $500 for the same nights. Anyone else playing in Event 6 ($1500 limit hold em?)
Andr4w 0
The Orleans Hotel is always great value and you can get a free shuttle to the Gold Coast across from the Rio. I've stayed there a few times and its perfect. Also has some great lower stakes games if your having a day or two off from the Rio.
Fatty McSlim 0
Believe it or not the Stratosphere actually has a good tourney which runs throughout the day

Socrates 0
First piece of advice...don't play that horrible, horrible first tourney. You'll play 11 handed with alternates sitting in for the first hour. Second, that's a good deal. As crazy as it may seem, the WSOP isn't a huge deal in Vegas outside of the poker players' worlds. GetSprung 0
First person to PM me not named Zach or RAB can have a car shuttle serivce from their hotel to the Rio since I'll be working there everyday. No clue if I'd actually do this but if people were having troubles I wouldn't mind helping out.
pragtyro 0
If you REALLY wanna save money, consider amtrak instead of flying.I'm bringing my wife with me, so if I don't win 2 bracelets the entire trip is -ev :
