xzanos 0
This guy on one of my tables right now is saying that tilt put 12k in his account for a WSOP seat he won. (and he's making sure to tell everyone that he's won his seat)I thought they only put the 2k for expenses into your account, and then the 10k you have to show up at the WSOP to claim. Dude is kind of illiterate and talking retarded gibbirish. Can anyone confirm that they're just giving out 12k in cash? That seems kinda stupid to me, since if they're doing that, then what's the point of running satellites for a specific event?
yourboygsarida 0
pretty sure this is correct. from what i understood from what ftpdoug said on p5's, they cant be at the wsop to hand out lammers/money and wsop wont let ftp buy you in. so they have to get the money to you somehow, and quickly too, since you need to withdraw it to use it. qyayqi 11
so... this will (further) reduce the number of people at the wsop m/e this year? money in hand will be hard for some of the sat winners to give up.
Wandigo 1
your friend is right.. i won one of the $2k packages a few nights ago and they just credited my account with $2,000 and are sending me a hoodie and a hat. there's a chance I might just keep the cash and play some side games though...prelims can be donkfests with the structures. armen13 0
Is 10k worth it for ME once you have the cash in your hand? Would it not be better to play a few smaller bracelette tourneys with the 10k?Obv. this depends greatly on bankroll...Thoughts?Also, I don't remember the fine print, but are you obligated to play if you win on FTP? mx957 0
Harrah's is not allowing Companies or "Third Parties" to buyin to WSOP events this year. With the whole Internet Gambling Bill hoopla, they figure better safe than sorry. I won a 2K seat through Full Tilt's braclet race and at first they informed me "we'll let you know how it will work later" then last week they sent me an email saying we are just giving you the cash and hopefully you'll buyin with it.Then when I went to the WSOP site to pre-register, they mention the "No Third Party Buyin" rule.I do think this will lower the field sizes a bit this year but it will still be a hugh event. NoSup4U 0
so... this will (further) reduce the number of people at the wsop m/e this year? money in hand will be hard for some of the sat winners to give up.Some of us have been saying this for months now ;)A huge portion of the ME participants come from online sites. I play for a living and I've love to win a seat to the ME. But if I did, and they gave me the cash, I'd keep the cash, and use it for my bankroll and to pay for the 2 or 3 smaller events I'm going to play in.If the ME is half the size it was last year I will be surprised, unless this changes or Pokerstars somehow decides to have someone there to give people their $10K the day before the event and tries to pressure you to use it to buy in or something.Mark
