astros11ss 0 Posted April 6, 2007 Share Posted April 6, 2007 so i am very interested in flying out to vegas for no good reason other than to drink, smoke, and chill with all the ballers at bellagio for the 5 star... as most of you know, i'm not 21 so i won't get to play in any of the tourneys, although who knows maybe i'll log some hours in the poker room, however my good friend the-toilet IS 21 and would be able to play in several prelims if we were to fly out there. we would be chopping a room together if we went.as far as school, i have nothing coming up for the next two weeks (just got done with a round of midterms) and the only class that i am required to attend is ice skating (ballin)... fortunately i told my teacher today i would be out of town for monday and wednesday's classes for a possible business opportunity in summer (did i lie? i specifically didn't say internship), so basically i can fly out later today or anytime in next few days but gotta be back by thursday night/friday morning. toilet has no tests or anything coming up and i'm pretty sure has no classes with required attendance although he is (very slightly) more interested in attending class than i. money should not be a consideration factor, we're both confident that the trip will pay for itself (flight, hotel, meals, etc) from the poker we play in vegas either live or online. with all this said... would love feedback on ANY pros/cons of making this trip... i honestly really can't think of a con except for the standard "you can't leave school in the middle of a semester to go party in vegas for a week" my mom gave me when i told her of my plans last night. well, that simply isn't good enough, but toilet for some reason still has some hesitation. PLEASE HELP, FCP.cliff notes: i want to go to vegas, if toilet comes with me he can play bellagio 5 star prelim events. any reason not to?!? Link to post Share on other sites

Maybe it was 10/20. Regardless, your win rate is exceptionally better online than live and he may know that if he won a preliminary event, he would have to play the ME and miss much more than just one week of school.I say go alone and enjoy. I know I will be at the strip on saturday and definately will be getting wasted somewhere. I can't see a con for this trip. Wandigo 1 Posted April 6, 2007 Share Posted April 6, 2007 considering you know (or have at least talked to) some of the online pros that are from the Vegas/Henderson area, I don't see why you can't just hook one of them up for an online/live transfer, assuming they log a lot of time at the live games.The reason this thread saddens me: me, you and whoever else were gonna fly out to vegas today but we didn't get on top of **** to arrange flights/hotels/etc.. I'd love to head out right now but the fact that I work a crummy job on Monday wouldn't give me much time out there.As for your solution-tell toilet not to be a pu*** and go. I can't think of any cons to this idea since you seem to have a pretty free schedule for the next week or so.
