Lucky Lady Casino?

Recommended Posts

Any one play in the Lucky Lady Casino or any other place in San Diego Area?I will be out there for a week and would like to play some cards.Let me know limits and games if you can, and what type of players to expect, and anything else that you think is relevant.I usually play 1-2 NLHE in home games and Atlantic City when I get the chance.I would love to find a mixed game though.

Haven't been there since I was in College a few years ago. Kind of a shitty area and not too many games going. You're better off going to a real casino (Sycuan, Barona, Etc) then here. Granted, it's close, but typically its the same mopes dumping to the three people who may know how to play. For the most part during my three years there, me and my buddies would take the trip to the indian casino instead.EDIT: You aren't going to find a mixed game anywhere in the area. Last time I went they didn't have an NL game, but I have heard they have since changed it. Sycuan occasionally gets a 3/6 omaha game going, they have a $1 $1 $1 NL game with a $40 buy in, a $1/$2 NL with a $100 buy in, and offer 2/4 and 5 10 as well(not sure the max). They have a board for limit hold 'em games from 3/6 to 20/40, but i've never seen it higher than 4/8. Barona has a $1/2 NL with a $60 max, a $1/$3 NL game with a $100-$300 buy in, and a bigger game up to a grand that I her Phillip Rivers loses a lot in. They have also started their nightly tourneys on week nights. Really, can't stress enough, Lucky lady is a **** hole. Wouldn't feel safe parking my car too far away. And , they close at 2am.

lucky lady's got 1-3 nl, max buy 200 or 300 hundred. plus 8 16 holdem, a couple lower limit games and pai gow. Big time fish, but no beer, not very fun atmosphere or neighborhood. Go to Viejas. Alcohol there, fish and it's more fun. Seriously if you're on vacation, make the drive, it depresses me to think someone would come here on vacation and go to el cajon blvd for poker. I mean, I'll go there, but only when I'm in a really degenerate mood.

I LOL'd. South of the Keg'n'Bottle, El Cajon BLVD is a dump. That one old Guy that plays there, i think they call him Doc, his Santa Claus beard is nicotine stained, so sick.

Thanks for the info. I am actually going to San Diego on business.I will be around Solana Beach specifically. I just searched the card room directory over at pokerpages.com and found the Lucky Lady.Anyone have a website that may have info on other San Diego area poker rooms. It could even be an underground club, providing I could get in the door.I will be in training sessions 9-5, then looking for card playing in the evenings.Which of the above mentioned recommendations are nearest to Solana Beach?

If you are up in Solana Beach then Oceans 11 is the closest and best card room for you. They spread everything from 1/3 NL to 5/10 NL, 4-8 limit holdem all the way up to 75-150. Also, they have a pretty easy omaha HL but its only 4-8. I think they have a website. Google "Oceans 11 casino, oceanside, ca". There really is not need for underground card clubs seeing as card rooms are legal in california so... I have been here in san diego for a year and have never head of one. so, hope that helps.
