ScottTK 0
I don't use/have one. I either use a chip or use my hand to protect the cards. If I had a cool one, I'd use it, though... something like a fire extinguisher or a skull.

A real skull would be gothic cool and very intimidating at the table.

Jam-Fly 8
I use a chip. Anything else is borderline dorky.QFTI use like 6 chips, 1 chips isn't very heavy imo. Also, make sure that if u do use them, use them every single time you decide to play a hand.

OrzyVibe 0
So is posting on an internet message board.LOL. So true. I knew that a few replies would contain 'that's dorkfest' and yet miss the irony about posting on an internet message board. Those that get caught up in what's cool or not at the poker table kind of make me chuckle. Who cares what people do or don't do? Just let your play do the talking.
DB10-2 0
when i hadn't been playing very long, i used to use a gamblers' anonymous "2 years free of gambling" coin i picked up someplace, but i decided i didn't need the problem gamblers at the table gunning for me and stopped. i rarely use a card protector because i try to play the same way every time: left hand with fingers extended holding cards facedown, right hand shuffling chips/checking/betting, etc. i find it's easier to avoid giving things away if i try to do this every time. note: this is for cardrooms and bigger games. at $20 home games with friends, i don't bother. Alpha1494 0
I switch it up. Sometimes I use an actual card protector, sometimes just a chip, and occassionally I'll just hold my cards down with my hand. If I have the nuts on the river, I sometimes jack off all over my cards so the dealer knows to keep his hands away from my cards, but some of my friends think this is a really bad tell.
