fighter 4
http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,...1599987,00.htmlThe artical is about a leading evangelical conservative Christian theologian and his admission that homosexuality isnt a choice but you are born with it. This is big but the part of the artical that is most worthy of discussion is "If science proves homosexuality is caused by genetic or other biological reasons, Mohler wrote, it's only a matter of time before science produces a treatment that will cure it. If so, he said, Christians have a duty to use it " I am going to throw it to the forum and comment later.

The fact is this- I can choose to **** or not. Regardless of who I want to ****, I still make that choice. Now, since sex as God ordained it is between a man and a woman, then anything outside of that would be what? Not ordained by God. Never mind the fact that biblically homosexuality is called out in particular- it is most definitely NOT ordained by God in any way, shape or form. Just like sex outside of marriage. So, let's say that it is not a choice, and there is a cure. Why would you have to take that cure? Just don't **** guys, and you are safe. It is pretty simple.
sknkd 0
Saying homosexuality is genetic is like saying being shy, outgoing, funny, smart, a liar, a thief a murderer etc etc is genetic. They are all choices, mix of environment and genetic disposition. I would argue that it has more to do with environment but my examples are unpalatable. Even if I’m wrong given my data, whopty doo. People love easy answers to unanswerable questions.

Did you enjoy getting your pea-brain theory out there? I bet it was extremely intellectually stimulating for ya.So it's your choice to love a woman's tits? You just... choose to get a hard-on when they're slapping your face on the strip club? Great example, really... the sex industry doesn't bank on the fact that they figure a bunch of guys are going to choose to be heterosexual one year after another.. They bank on the fact that guys ARE one way or the other and make their money off what is certainly profitable. Most guys are turned on by a good-looking woman. Some guys are turned on by a good-looking man.Get it now?
sknkd 0
They are. I'm not saying that a person isn't likely to be a certain way because of their genes. Just that all genetics does in those cases is lay the spread. The teams determine the outcome. Blaming the spread as the reason you lost the game is pretty ghey.
jmkiser 0
Can everyone make a pact that we are no longer going to try to decipher GEN130's hieroglyphics? I mean, I start reading... and then feel like "**** it, not worth my time"not a difficult read, but when trying to have thoughtful discussion over these topics... well, you get the point

I don't remember ever waking up and saying to myself, 'Huh, you know what I'm gonna be attracted to? Boobies!' I don't see how you miss this very simple logical connection - that if homosexuals are choosing to be attracted to people of their own sex it would follow that heterosexuals are choosing to be attracted to people of the opposite sex.edit: jmkiser already said that pretty much
