Cool.I think the line up they've got at the moment (maybe plus Doyle) is the best yet, and they'll be back for more next season too. Be good to see a little more of Ivey and Antonius.. maybe a few more High Stakes online players, like Townsend too. You can tell it's a real poker game now, because none of them are wearing sunglasses! They should be banned for next season.

season 1 and 2 seemed much more enjoyable then season 3.
In terms of table banter and stuff? Perhaps.. but the level of play is at it's highest now, imo. There's only so much of Farha and Elezra a man can take!

If you have DN in that lineup and it's all about entertainment value that happens to be about poker, you have to add Mike the Mouth to the lineup.

It's hard to say what the "best" table would be. Are you more interested in table talk and entertainment, are you interested in the best possible players and poker, or would you like a combination of the two.I think it would be possible to maintain great poker while still having enough characters and personalities to make it interesting from an entertainment point of view.Pure Entertainment:DanielMikeLaakShiekyGoldSammyEliGusAntonio (rocks and rings)I don't know, something like that. It would be action packed, lots of talk, and money would fly.Of these people, Daniel, Mike, Laak, Gus, and Antonio could all be mixed around with the current table on HSP (sbrugby, Ivey, Benyamine, etc.) to add some table chatter while still maintaining more or less solid poker. People like Shieky and Gold, while entertaining to watch, aren't really close to as good of players as some of the others and wouldn't really fit in with a really strong table.I don't know. Unlike my main man Balloon Guy, I'm pretty entertained by the internet players because I know that they're very experienced with high stakes hold'em and really know what they're doing. I think they would just need someone like Mikey to open things up a bit (in terms of table talk). One player would make a big difference.Point is, HSP is worlds beyond any other show in terms of both poker play and entertainment value. Congrats on a fourth season!!!

I am sooooo tired of Laak's act it's not funny.Watching Ivey play is for purists. He's about as entertaining as watching the wheels on a slot machine. I don't think he said ten words during the entire episode on PAD.I think this years HSP was a little less enjoyable than the prior years because they seemed to make the decision not to talk about the money won or lost. They never gave any indication of how much anybody was up or down. I know, there are issues about the money, taxes, privacy, all that. But, the whole premise is about a cash game, high stakes, top players duking it out...give us some kind of running account. To me this year was more like a showcase of players, it didn't seem to be about the game as much.

A balance is good, but I'd say defer to entertainment without overdoing it, I think I would pay less attention if the table was full of chit chats and crybabies, because the whole table won't even pay attention to the game! Ha.Then again, I DO NOT want to watch pure poker like the one DN mentioned on PAD with Chan, Brunson, Ferguson and Moneymaker. It was painful, I'd rather watch the other 10 poker shows on tv, or even an online high stakes game, because that would be more entertaining.Ideally, excellent tv chemistry would be Doyle cranking out an old school story about poker or some random Vegas occurrence, mixed with some solid quiet play from an Ivey, with ADHD spews of the mouth with DN making fun of him all day.

A mix would get me vote. To see the best players from on line vs the Vegas group is lots of fun. Move the blinds to 500/1000 while you are at it.

What's the best line up possible?I'll start 1. Daniel Negreanu2.
I'd agree in terms of Season 1 and 2, but DN hasn't really "stolen the show" if you will, on season 3. Seemed kind of like a depressed version of himself, Daniel on Prozac.
