KDawgCometh 2
Hey anybody ever see D'Agonstino play? I played a low buy in tourney wit him at foxwoods, not at the same table, and he busted out early and started crying about itI've played with him in Foxwoods and AC, he's a great player and a decent guy
custom36 5
If your going to needle at the table you can't be a baby when the needle gets turned back on you. I think it goes without saying that if the needle is a major part of your bag of tricks you better expect to take crap for it later on.And why is it no one comes to defend Phil Helmuth for being an ass as part of his table image? At least he's got the skins on the wall to back up his moronic attitude.Well, it would be different if they were actually playing. But, I'm guessing most (if not all) of those people saying those things even HAVE as much money as he brought to the table. And I do defend Hellmuth. He's also a great needler... If you act like an *******, you shouldn't be suprised when people treat you like one.
SplashMaster 0
People say stupid stuff to the pros like that all time time. I was watching Phil Gordon play and this one kid just kept saying idiotic things to him until Phil got censored off and banned him. Mike seems to be harrased every time plays, though. One guy today asked him if he ever dropped the soap. I have yet to watch him play a game without Mike threatening to turn his chat off. It sucks. Just because they're pros, punks have the right to insult them?the bad thing is that makes the pros less chatty when ppl actually try to talk poker to them...i dont blame them , but a few azzholes are screwing it up for the real fansthats true and good pointwhy cant fulltilt do something like let you chat only if you have the buy-in for the game in your account or somethingits a shame punks can just go in there and talk trash

Chez52 0
Mike has been a pretty hot topic in this forum for the last few weeks....Before I say this Id like to say that I dont like Matusow the Poker Player, but that doesnt give us the right to judge Matusow the Person At the Poker Table he is annoying....I hate him.....hes like Phil Hellmuth's little brother without the humor. He says hes top 5 in No Limit in the World.....PErsonally hes not even in my Top 10....but he still has game. In the Hand with Raymer he was a Dick.....but it came back to haunt him later when Raymer doubled throguh him and then he lost with the AK. Both those times he played the hand correctly and lost.In Aruba he was playing some good poker and lost as well. I'm a believer in Karma and I think that Mike got what he deserved. There is nothing wrong with needling people at the table....its a great way to get in thier heads.....but maybe Mike should stop and be a nicer guy at the table and he will find that he will be rewarded more often. He plays great, but never wins the big ones......maybe if he tones it down a little he will be a winning player.....I know its corney, but thats my take on itAs far as making fun of his personal life....thats another thing. We can make fun of him all we want for his actions at the table but thats fair game. To make fun of a man who went to jail and casues great pain to his family and freinds is something else. Granted he never should have been involed with drugs....that doesnt give us the right to make fun of him for it. People make mistakes we arent perfect.....lets just hope that he learns from them. Those people that make fun of him online are idiots who dont have the balls to say it to his face. Personally I enjoy Mike's Skills and feel for the game, but he needs to clean up his life first and foremost and thne focus on becoming a better player. I think that if Mike wasnt such a dick at the table he would find his luck turning around.....Thats just my 2 cents on the issue

iveyfan30 0
we all see a few minutes of a guy on t.v then we decide if he is a good peson or not...granted, mike has made his on bed so to speak, but he did his time for it.. i just dont believe its ok for a little bitch to say really bad things to him over a p.c ..its not stuff related to poker, its directed to him personally..to call him a crack monkey, or dont drop the soap, or make anal rape jokes its not right that he cant defend himself...i gurantee none of these p.c tough guys would talk shit to mike's face...he would bitch slap them..i try to live by the rule that if i wouldnt say it to a guy's face , im not gonna say it behind his back...its not just mike that has problems with observer chat , its every pro ...i have seen ppl call phil ivey a monkey, i saw them make awful comments about arieh's wife..if i were a pro i wouldnt ever have my chat on because of this..it makes it hard for the real fans that actually wanna talk poker and learn from these guys... my 2 cents ...which probably arent even worth that
KDawgCometh 2
that's the worst thign about these railbirds. There are plenty of people who just want to talk to the pros and the pros do their best to let that happen, but these lameasses who want to do nothing but talk shit to the guys are unbeileveable. How would you like it if your trying to play and people are trying to do nothing but annoy you to no end, it'd be no fun. Its one thing to ask them real questions, or at elast ask them funny questions like when Mike was asked if he had tried to get with Shana, but its a compleely different thing to just goad and goad them
pokerglory 0
You guys ever see this on Raymer's website (FAQ about Mike) for Mike, I’m told he’s a great guy away from the table. But, I’ve never spent any time with him away from the table. And I’ve never really liked him at the table. Unlike Josh, Mike seems to always be saying something egotistical and aggravating. I first met him during the second Tournament of Champions, when he got moved to my table as we were approaching the bubble. He was on tilt, and proceeded to play every hand during the Omaha hi-lo phase, getting extremely lucky and catching every card he needed. Instead of being grateful for his good fortune, he proceeded to tell the table what a great player he was, and how they had no chance against him since he was no longer taking bad beats. He appeared to completely miss out on the fact that instead of taking bad beats, he was giving them, as he was playing a terrible game and simply getting lucky to catch flops, turns, and rivers. Basically, I don’t like Mike, and don’t yet have any evidence that my opinion is likely to change in the future. He’s smart enough and quick-witted enough to be a likable guy, but I’m not sure he cares enough for that to ever be who he will be. Ah yes, the famous notebook. When Mike was berating me, it was the end of the level, and we were all about to leave for the 75 minute dinner break. As I always do at such times, I was writing down my chip count. That’s all it was, despite much guesswork otherwise. Of course, the whole incident does say a lot about Mike. It’s one thing to be the type of person who will act like a jerk in order to put the opponent on tilt and try to win his money. However, in this case, Mike was supposedly using his gamesmanship to put me on tilt, but if so, why would he choose to do it just as I was about to get a 75 minute break that would allow me to cool down and get over it? I think this is a great piece of evidence that Mike was not merely engaging in gamesmanship, but was merely displaying his poor attitude and demeanor.
digitalmonkey 929
Anonymity and courage go hand in hand with these people. Take away their anonymity and you take away their courage. So what does that make them in the real world? Cowards!Unfortunatley some of them are so starved for acceptance that they will say anything to anyone online in the hopes that some stranger will type "lol". It is sad really. Frills 0
Simple solution is not allow observer chat, they want to talk shit, let them put their cash down and at risk.
