Hotel Deals In Las Vegas

Recommended Posts

I am also going April 20-22.....and I also had trouble finding anything very cheap. I guess this explains it. I got a room at the Luxor for 169/night. I just wanted something a step above dive on the strip. Pyramid will do. Flights were also expensive....but I found some decent non-stops out of Miami on American.
I stayed at Trop, and it was too far south for my liking, and Luxor is even furthur down the strip.

I'll just back up what the others have said already...I stayed at the Imperial Palace last time I was in Vegas, and if you're anything like me (spent about 5 hours, tops, at the hotel a day for sleep), then this place will do the trick. Leaves for more drinking and gambling money!! :club:

Or you can do what I did and gamble like a motherf*cker one trip and get comped rooms at any harrahs owned property for the rest of your life.....then I just moved to Vegas and bought a house. Smart, smart...

I'm staying at the Westin 6/1 to the 4th and got it for $61 a night thru a bid on Priceline. Their rates are around $200 on their website for those dates. Maybe 175 I'm not sure.

eh what are you going to do? I think I will be able to make it around enough. It's Vegas....anywhere on the strip will do.

Just like I've said so many times..... Imperial Palace is the best deal for the location and the price anywhere. Here's your best bet....Use the Casino Gold special at IP.Then use either Southwest or Ted (United's Discount Airline). Or any other cheap airline you can find, and with those two in the right combination, you should be able to beat anything you can find on Expedia. And if you can't, then I agree, expedia is the best that i've seen.
Dead on.If you're taking a chick, they like the Venetian, Caesar's, Bellagio, and Wynn.

Luxor is down at the south end and is connected to Mandalay and Excalibur by a tram that runs 24hrs a day. It's also not that far a walk from MGM on the other side of the strip. There's plenty to do down there, but if you want to go to some of the nicer properties at the north end of the strip it's a little bit of a hike. The Luxor poker room is a fine place to play low-stakes poker.

It's not too bad being down there. All you have to do is pay $5 or $10 (I can't remember which), and you get a 24 hr pass on the Deuce. It's the bus which runs quite frequently, 24 hours a day, goes up and down the strip. You should have no problem if you don't want to walk.We did walk from the Trop to Bellagio one day, and it's not far, but I'm a lazy ****, so I suggest getting the bus pass.

Going to Vegas with chicks is the absolute worst. I live in the LA area, and made a couple trips to Vegas with a mixed group of guys and girls, and the girls want to do all sorts of fun **** like going clubbing...you know, because there aren't any decent clubs in Los Angeles or anything. And we always get stuck at one of those overpriced hotels and spend all day going to OTHER hotels because they have the attention span of flies. OK, I'm done ranting now.

Also, dead on. I haven't taken a chick to Vegas since 1995.

I stayed at the Sahara last summer during the WSOP and its clean and thats about it. Nothing special or fancy but good for the price although I think I paid $40 a night. The poker room has 3 daily tournies that are around $60 buy-in and bring in around 40-60 people each so their will be around 4 tables after that. Having to play 5 hours a day may be tricky due to the fact that during some parts of the day their are zero games going on. The only games they spread when I was there were 2/4 limit and 1/2NL the dealers were decent and the games average but don't expect to see any other games spread. As far as location goes the Sahara is all the way at the north end of the strip but it does have some nice features, its across the street from IHOP which is always a great meal at 3am. It also has its own monorail stop so its a 5 minute trip tops to the middle of the strip.

thanks for the good info. We will play some of those tourneys im sure, its only only 2.5 hrs each per day, so thats not that big a deal....if I have to ill sit at some damn 2/4 table and just fold for a while, get some drink, and then leave, lol
