Taking Jin to his first NHL game Sunday. Seats close to the glass and I get to see McDavid. Probably the last game I see at The Joe.

I want Subban to win all the Norrises now.

vezina NOMINATION for Dev. **** yeahhhhhhhhhhhh. Going to vegas in June

Crosby, Nash, Malkin, Stamkos.... with Staal, Carter, Kessel having an outside shot, I think.

Tavares, Seguin, McDavid, Laine, Matthews also on their way... ?

I was having a discussion about where Ovy will end up.

He has 607 career goals..Catching Gretzky(894) is probably a very tough task 287 goals will be hard. However he has an outside chance to catch Gordie Howe for second. He needs 195 to pass him.

He will be 33 years old at the beginning of next NHL Season. He has averaged 47 goals the last 5 years, including the "down" year of 33 two years ago.

At that pace he would need to play just over 4 more years to catch Gordie. Its a tough expectation to average that many goals even for him at his age..So he would need to average 39 goals for 5 more years..

Its tough, but its doable.

Useless facts you find on Wikipedia as you are looking at lists.

There are only 4 players in the History of the NHL that have played only one game, yet have one career goal. One of them is still active.

Brad Fast( Carolina Hurricanes) 2003-2004

Roland Huard( Toronto Maple Leafs) 1930-1931

Dean Morton (Detroit Red Wings) 1989-1990 He is currently an NHL referee

Samuel Henley(Colorado Avalance) 2016-2017 He is a free agent and decided to take a one year sabbatical from professional hockey.

I was thinking about the same thing. I think he'll definitely catch Howe. And I think he has a decent chance at catching Gretzky. If he stays healthy he'll get there.

Announcer: Ovechkin scores #895 to become the NHL's all-time leading goal-scorer!!!

I think those 5 will probably all get in when eligible.

I remember before Kovalchuk left figuring that he could get like 700 goals if he kept up an alright pace. But then he left and gave it all up.

An easy one:

Eight 500 goal scorers scored all their goals with one team. Can you name them?

1. Steve Yzerman DET

2. Mario Lemieux PIT

3. Alexander Ovechkin WSH

4. Mike Bossy NYI

5. Maurice Richard MTL

6. Stan Mikita CHI

7. Gilbert Perreault BUF

8. Jean Beliveau MTL

Note: I'm counting the Quebec Nordiques and Colorado Avalanche as two teams so Joe Sakic is not a correct answer. Same deal with Minnesota North Stars, Dallas Stars and Mike Modano.

A hard one:

Ten 500 goal scorers never had a 50 goal season. Can you name them?

1.

2.

3.

4. Stan Mikita

5. Patrick Marleau

6. Frank Mahovlich

7. Marian Hossa

8.

9. Gilbert Perreault

10. Jean Beliveau

Hint: 3 players are on both lists

That's too many...I don't know. I started with a list of like 25 that I thought never had a 50 goal season, but somehow it's supposed to be only 7.

How many of the 7 did I get right?
