He's a former Penn State basketball player (and NBA player) who actually worked with the Second Mile organization and met Sandusky. Really thoughtful person and gives a good interview. He talks briefly about the deification of coaches.Some might disagree with me but what Paterno did was just as bad as the person doing the assaults. The right thing was to first go to the head of the college, if nothing was done, then go to the cops and resign.I think what Paterno did, or didn't do, is super awful, but it's not nearly on the same level as what Sandusky did. I think you are crazy to even suggest that.I can't see picture texts, but I'm glad you didn't get an uggo.Don't think uggos get adopted. Pretty sure that's what the screening process is all about. Fire every coach, training person, executive, filing room clerk, accountant etc.. fire every single person in the football program that isn't a player. Rehire an entire new staff. I'm sure there is huge demand for almost every position in the football program.I think this is what I would do. Everybody goes. Start over with a clean slate. The problem is, you'll never have a clean slate. This doesn't wash away. We want justice for something that can never have justice, so you keep ratcheting up the punishments. This guy is fired and then this guy is fired and it's not enough because it can never be enough, so you keep going. Then you're cancelling games, then you're shutting down the program, etc. It won't ever be enough justice for what happened to these kids. At some point do you need to stop and ask if it's fair to who is being punished?The disgusting thing is the ages here. If we were talking about 16 year olds that'd be one thing. But 10? 12? Just like 18 is a pretty arbitrary age that sex is all of a sudden 'ok,' i feel like there is another line where it goes from being something that is very wrong to something where I'd support putting someone's head on a pike. Going to last nights Wings/Avs game might have finally gotten me back into the hockey groove. It was a good game. I really have a man crush for Matt Duchene. Wish he didn't have to play for the Avs though. Jonathan Ericsson sucks. God I hate that kid. Also fun to watch two Beavers players put up 4 goals live! Weee.Duchene is fun to watch. I think he was given a talking too, or coached up...whatever, because you didn't get to see him try to split the defenseman every time he got the puck at the blue line which I think is a mistake cause he can stick handle and skate better than anyone else on the AVS. Johan Franzen straight up owns the AVS. It's ridiculous. I guess the "rivalry" has died from the Wings fans perspective because the lower seats seemed pretty empty.
