I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that Chris Stewart has the best backhand shot in the game.Additionally...it's going to be a very, very long year for Calgary fans.

5-5 in the WAS/TB game and no points from Lecavalier, St. Louis, Stamkos, Backstrom, Ovechkin or Semin.
I just came on to say the same thing...is it okay for fantasy owners to fire NHL coaches?

haha, I'm just glad it's my night off. If I saw 5-5 and then saw nothing from St. Louis or Backstrom it would not make for a happy Jay.

So gross. Stamkos had about 8 chances on the PP in overtime, I could have really used a G, GWG, and PPP!

That game had me wondering about coaches overthinking the shootout: You would think that the shooters would beOveckin, Semin, BackstromSt Louis, Lecavalier, StamkosActual shooters:Hendrix, Ovechkin, SeminThompson, Moore, XXX

I whined about this last year - I'm fine with teams having a guy or two that they know is awesome at the shootout, and using him. They practice this, and some guys without other offensive usefulness can be great. Sweet. Use them. But I have a hard time believing that neither Stamkos nor St Louis are better at the shootout than Thompson or Moore. And these points count (unfortunately).

Yeah, I tend to think the guys who watch EVERY practice, EVERY game, EVERY shootout, etc know more than random internet videos. Also, they have the most at stake here. Danny you can say the points count, but they obviously know that, and it obviously means the most to them. I'll trust their judgment.

lol, it isn't 'random internet videos' - its the guy who scored 40 goals last year!
There's a lot to be said for sending a guy out there that the goalies don't have a "book" an inch thick on already as well.
Why not send Nate Thompson out on the power play then?

Meant to say random internet posters, haha.
Pretty sure the FCP Hockey board is one of the main resources for most NHL front offices.
Nate Thompson has 1:44 of PP time this season. :club:
I award Zach this debate.

From Elliotte Friedman's 30 Thoughts:24) Was talking with MLSE president Richard Peddie at a morning skate last year when Devan Dubnyk walked by. Peddie asked, "How is anyone supposed to score on that guy?" You can see he's beginning to figure it out, and I'd like to see Tom Renney ride him for awhile.
