Semin scored today, to make Washington 15-0 when he scores. I heard recently that Philly is 15-0 when Mike Richards scores a couple of days ago.
Confirmed.

Stephen Weiss had a shift of 5:43 yesterday... how the hell did that happen?http://www.nhl.com/scores/htmlreports/20102011/TH020985.HTM(Bernier and Repik each had corresponding shifts of 3:27)
could it be they were on during a couple of icings and couldnt get off?other than an error in scoring, cant imagine what else could do that.

Hows Penner looking with Kopitar?
Penner's been fine, Kopitar has been pretty shitty lately. Terry Murray's defensive system has turned Kopitar into a grinder. The man even grinds in the offensive zone now.

Ovi's profile pic/background on twitter is from his only ever game at the Consol Energy Center. He scored the only goal in that 1-0 victory and has only scored 1 goal in the 6 games since. He also only has 1 multi goal game (hatty vs. the leafs) since the first month of the season. (he got 2 against CGY and NJD each)http://twitter.com/#!/ovi8109352384b.jpg

Players are aware of the benches when they are making hits so its reasonable to assume they must be aware of the stanchions too....plus the history with Pacioretty. So it was dirty or reckless....should get suspended either way.

I've watched it over and over again.... my two cents worth is that Chara didn't intend to INJURE Paciorretty the way he did. But he definately intended to hit him, and in a dangerous spot. As a player, you know whats around the benches, and that it's a dangerous place for a hit. When you go to ride a guy out at either end of the bench, you know damn well that those partitions are there. Chara also didn't try to body him against the boards, which is what you would do to rub him out, he pushed him high. I think he knew full well what the outcome might be. If this was Matt Cooke or bad-guy-flavour-of-the-day Gillies that did it, everyone would be screaming for a lifetime suspension. I think the league has to look at this very carefully. That being said, there is no way that they are going to suspend a marquee player like Chara into the playoffs. My guess is a couple of games, which is a farce...

I think Chara's intent was about the same as Scott Stevens' intent on his open-ice hits. Neither was hoping for serious injury, but both wanted to crunch their targets. Chara had an issue with Pacioretty from previous games. This was a predatory hit and provides the perfect opportunity to send a serious message to the players/coaches/GMs that there is hockey and there is this type of thing. The NHL will fail. Someone will get killed and then the NHL will put up a traffic light.

I just wanted to add that this is not necessarily a Chara/Pacioretty thing...they just happened to be the guys involved...but rather a shared mentality of many players and those closely involved in the game. The intent of bodychecking is to remove your opponent from the puck...not to remove him from the game...or make the highlight reels.
