sinc 0
looks like the coach might have lit a fire under our captain. What a friggin goal baby! Also is it just me or do you have to shut your eyes every time ninnima has a shift? That has to go down as one of the worst trades the habs have made in a while.

Add the fact that not a lot of quality d-men are available as UFA's this year and he may have received even better offers. I'm happy with paying that much money for a #1 d-man. digitalmonkey 929
Do you try to resign Souray? For sure! I'm not sure how high Gainey is willing/able to go but without looking at Montreal's cap numbers I'm thinking Gainey will go as high as $4.5 per.

I'm not sure how high Gainey is willing/able to go but without looking at Montreal's cap numbers I'm thinking Gainey will go as high as $4.5 per.I really like Montreal's potential if they can get Souray locked up, having their two top D, and a ton of offensive potential in their young guys. Who knows, maybe Samsonov and Kovy will pick it up . Seriously though, they look good.

serge 904
I agree, McCabe should be a candidate for the Norris in 2007-08.He is better than Markov in every category..and defensively they are equal at worst...

Belanger25 3
This signing worried the hell out of me wondering what Lubomir Visnovsky may ask for come July 1st. Thankfully we still have him for a year.
SilverSeven 0
Markov is a stud. For real imo.And he skates circles around McCabe...all day.
rinswun 6
He is better than Markov in every category..and defensively they are equal at worst...lol from an unbiased stand point, and i've had them both in the fchl so i like both guys, Markov is clearly a better defenseman than McCabe. McCabe isnt even the best blue liner on the Leafs. Now Kaberle and Markov is a better comparison in terms of ability

McCabe was on the ice for more goals for. your logic is faulty. This signing by Montreal shows that the Mccabe signing was at worst a good signing last year..congratulations.I'm really happy we signed Markov he's worth what he got and could of got more as a free agent. He's our go to guy on D and we had to keep this guy around, he's worth so much to us on the ice. Sourray is the big question now. I don't think he's worth more than Markov but he might get more. I want to sign him though just because we didn't trade him last year. Sign him then trade him, that would be sweet.
