The bolded part is evidently now public. I was not aware. An excerpt from the press conference during the donation pledge....   At Wednesday’s announcement, P.K. was filled with emotion as he talked

This is not the Leafs thread...we don't celebrate every little accomplishment.

Doesn't really matter though. If he creates 5 goals and costs his team 4 goals, he is still more valuable than a super shut down defenseman who never gives up a goal but who never creates a goal for e

Yeah, I think you gotta get Halak back in there right away. Too bad for Price, but he still gave up 2 goals on 11 shots, so it's not like he came in and turned things around.

It's just one game. I think you could find a game like this in each of the two previous series. Put Halak back in and move on.
Enough with your ridiculous logic.

So apparently the roles are going to be switched today...MTL has 16 shots 0 goals...Phi 6 shots 1 goal. This what MTL did to other teams. Oh and i agree they need ppl in front of the net on the PP

As Don Cherry just said...Montreal could take 100 shots and Leighton will stop them all if he has nobody even near him.

Well, if that wasn't an emphatic, in-your-face, we're here to play kind of victory, I don't know what was.Nicely done, Habs!
Hopefully they can keep it up. That's how they need to play if they want a chance.

I think they know what to do to win, now that they've solved Leighton (among other things). It's just such a high tempo game that it may catch up to them energy-wise. Hopefully, their fitness levels are high and they stay motivated.

I didn't see any of the game today. Looks like the Habs got smoked in the second period. Afternoon playoff games should not be allowed. NBC should go **** a peacock.

Good job guys..As we know I am not a fan, but props to the Habs for the great playoff run.

Thanks, SergeMy sentiments exactly. Well done, Les Habs! When you look at all the things that worked for the Habs, you can find two things that didn't:Halak played like a God, but he had little help from a depleted defensive corps (Spacek was out in the early going but came back; Markov was out, came back and got injured again; Hal Gill spent the entire Flyer series skating around witjh 50 stitches in his leg; PK Subban played well, but was overaggressive at times and made a couple of key mistakes) and even less help from the forwards in terms of scoring (Plekanec, Kostitsyn, Gomez all went way more than 10 games without a goal; last night's Gomez goal was his first in 16)Cammalleri and Gionta up front were great, but they had no helpOverall, the Flyers outplayed them and Leighton was outstanding at the right time.Go, Hawks!

Call me crazy, but does anyone think it's too much to ask to sign Marleau as a free agent?
I think he would be a good fit on the habs. I don't know if it would work, cap-wise though. (just a guess, I'm really not too familiar with the habs cap situation)I hope the Leafs sign him though.

Just out of curiosity, how worried would either of you be though if a large chunk of your teams payroll was tied to a guy with such a terrible history in pressure situations/playoffs? I love him as a player in the regular season, but hes just not the same in the playoffs, and can sometimes just be brutal. I dont think I want my team to come anywhere near his asking price.
