The bolded part is evidently now public. I was not aware. An excerpt from the press conference during the donation pledge....   At Wednesday’s announcement, P.K. was filled with emotion as he talked

This is not the Leafs thread...we don't celebrate every little accomplishment.

Doesn't really matter though. If he creates 5 goals and costs his team 4 goals, he is still more valuable than a super shut down defenseman who never gives up a goal but who never creates a goal for e

I saw this and suddenly thought "Serge has gotta see this"17552_440985525471_582850471_10793504_5773730_n.jpg

Wow. Hard to believe that a few months ago, i was happy Halak was playing so solid and upping his value for a trade. Who would have thought he was actually gonna steal the 1st. I love you Halak. <3

what is up with Pouloit? I can't find any info on injury and why he was not in the lineup. Sadly I have a huge FCHL game and I wasted a spot playing him. Thank you Plekanec stepping up for me though.

From the official habs board''he was shaken up with a hard hit and bad fall against the canucks, missed 3 practices this week... he played against the booins but he looked in pain on a couple of shifts... the official word is 'upper body' so your guess is as good as mine''

Obviously Gainey is being replaced by Dale. Dale will take the opportunity to announce he has acquired Sekera and Stafford.

You are very perceptive. Or were my hints just blatantly obvious.

This is pure speculation but maybe it's not about Bob Gainey at all. Perhaps Jean Beliveau has passed away. I hope I'm wrong. I can't imagine thats something they could keep secret, but I recall the secrecy when Boom Boom died. Again, pure speculation.

Bob Mckenzie is saying Pierre Gauthier is stepping in as GM of the Canadiens...odd timing.

http://www.tsn.ca/blogs/bob_mckenzie/?id=309453MCKENZIE: QUESTIONS APLENTY ON TIMING OF GAINEY'S MOVEWe should know more after the Montreal Canadiens' 4pm et news conference, but the immediate question everyone is asking and wondering about is, why now? Why, in the final week before the Olympic break and the NHL trade freeze of 3pm et Friday did Bob Gainey choose to step down as general manager? Many will say he was pushed but there's no evidence I've seen to suggest that and, in fact, I do not believe that to be the case at all.The most credible theory, and it's only that, based on conversations with those close to the Canadiens and Gainey, is that it really boils down to Gainey simply losing his appetite for the job and believing that he was likely not to return as GM after this season anyway. And, rather than stay on for the balance of the season and perhaps make some significant moves prior to the trade deadline that his successor would have to live with, Gainey simply decided the right time for him to leave was now.By all accounts, Pierre Gauthier is the interim GM and it will be up to him and the Canadiens now to decide how active to be, or not, at the deadline.Stayed tuned for more details as they become available.
