Fcp Heads Up Tourney

I was thinking of trying to set up some sort of Heads Up tourney for our fourm members. I would like to hear some comments before deciding payouts/buyin. I was thinking something like best 2 outts 3 for each round and 3 outta 5 for semi-finals and finals. I know it would be hard for 32 or more people to agree on a time, So I figure myself or someone would draw names out of a hat to set up the matches, then the those two could agree on a time, then post who won. If we get something like 46 people some people will randomly get a 'bye' in the first round. I would prefer it to be on Pokerstars......since I have no money elsewhere. But if we do it somewhere else Ill just pass, or ask someone to trade money on a different site.Thoughts, Opinions, or comments?

I said stars, $100 I dont have, but I just discovered you can Deposit through Western Union, so I can deposit easily

If this happened it wouldnt be for money. It would be for pride. If you want to make money I think there would be easier ways then to play other fcpers.

I like the idea, but it sounds complicated to set up. If all the matches are played individually instead of in a real tournament-format (which would be necessary to play best x out of y I think) there wouldn't be a organized prize-pool for the overall winner(s) - someone from FCP would have to manage the buyins. And who would be trusted enough on this forum to do that?If the set up and the buy-in is reasonable (100$ wouldn't be reasonble for me btw...), I'm in.

fourthed....but buyin has to be fairly reasonable, like 5-10. clearly the goal behind this isnt to show off your money making abilities and it'll be better if everyone can afford it.

we could just make a private HU tourney at a specific time.. we have no problem getting 15 guys for skipaments on no notice, i cant see why we couldnt get 32 guys at a predetermined time on a thursday night or something.. like 9pm est. 22 or 33$ buyin works for me as well.. and if you keep it at like 22$, first will still be around 200$ and itll be manageable for more peolpe

Kinda lame......lets actually plan one for a bit in advance so that people can actually put it in there schedule and we can get a big turn out. Fitz I know youve been geekin to make private tournies but with a little thought and planning this could actually be a cool thing. Patience my friend. Id definitly be interested in a a FCP HU tourney but cant play tonight.

arent you getting sick of creating and canceling tournies? If youre so gung(sp) ho about planning this I say go for it. Youll have my support, but PLAN IT just dont hurry and make a tourney that starts in an hour.

Count me in as long as its on Stars or FT. I would say anywhere between $5-$20 would be reasonable IMO
