serge 904
Too far behind..yes.Florida missing their top goalie..no. Anderson made a start last night to relieve Belfour from his record of straight starts for Florida. Belfour is in no way injured or ailing from anything, but if you were referring to Auld haha yes he is very much done for the season. I feel bad for NYI, DiPietro has been their everything, I still tip my hat to Ted Nolan for a great coaching job this season, I thought it was going to be like watching a train wreck at the beginning of the year. But for Ryan Smyth's sake I hope they edge it into the playoffs.Sorry Piano man...The Islanders will come up just short....Leafs pick up Perreault and get in...Isles pick up Smyth and dont...poetic justice. I added "respectively" at the end of the sentence, meaning that NYI are missing their 2 goalies and Florida too far behind NOT both conditions for both teams.
coesillian 0
Tonight Carolina and the Isle can jump ahead of Toronto who was only able to get 1 point last night. Montreal and Tampa are going to try and pull ahead alittle. Tampa faces Carolina for a huge game, hopefully no overtime. Montreal vs Ottawa for a good rivalry game and the Isle face the imposing Sabres, Big night in hockey tonight.

I like that fact that the pressure in on you to catch up to us. Also now us getting 1 point in a game is equivalent to a win because we beat out Toronto in the case of a tie, so a tie is all we need to match one of your winsand stay ahead. that is a very small matgin of errror. These next two games are what the habs are all about. Ottawa/habs games are great to watch, it'll be tight and if we get good goaltending, which I think we will, we can take this game in regulation. Playing Buffalo tired will be though but we had a break even record with them this year so it could go either way. My prediction is 3 points out of 4 for montreals' next 2 games. serge 904
not looking so hot for the Habs....If they lose tonight and tomorrow to Buffalo....They are in BAD shape..but still earlyAnd the Sabres are up 1-0 ...Things are looking solid so far...

MapleLeafpoker 1,462
Well down 2-0 in the game against Florida, it looks like Carolina's season is over.oops, someone spoke too soon!Canes for the last year and a half have been a notoriously slow starting, but great comeback team.truth is, they are playing terribly this week. Even today was a shaky rebound, a lot of lucky calls. serious cup hangover on these guys.I know many will say last year was a fluke, but I really think this is still a very deep team and could do damage in the playoffs.........IF they get there.
