I think you've been reading too many left behind books. I see what you're doing there The Yom Kippur and the 6 day occurred in the late sixties and early seventies. Their nuclear program was in it's advanced stages, if not fully operational ( though no one is precisely sure when they finished the bomb). This smacks of severe technological advantage. Your theory of israeli weapons being "nearly non existent" when these conflicts occured is patently absurd. While their arab neighbors (particularly egypt) did have soviet support, the support was nothing like the support of the west for israel. The arab armies were poorly trained, poorly co-ordinated and were at a technological disadvantage. They did have a numerical advantage, but that only counts for so much in modern war fare. Israel controlled the skies in both of these conflicts, and from what I understand of the battle, it was because superior israeli pilots flying superior aircraft shot down arab planes. I haven't heard any reports of pillars of fire knocking the arab planes out of the sky. I think you do a disservice to the incredible israeli armed forces by painting their victorys as acts of god.

Actually, during the Six Day War Israel blew up the whole of the Egyptian Air Force while it was parked on the ground. During the Yom Kippur war Israel crossed the Suez, essentially threatening to take and occupy Cairo unless Egypt blinked. During both conflicts the Israeli strategic command was for more organized and better prepared than the Egyptians. You can give an army all the advanced weapons in the world, but with incompetent officers it's still going to lose.

Yeah, that's a regionall strategy I don't understand why we don't consider more. Just letting israel bomb the **** out of iran. I guess israel being able to defend itself against arabs and isreal being able to occupy iran is two different things. I'm just saying that 99.9% of the time that someone uses "jew" as a way to call someone cheap or frugal, it's meant as an insult. So it shouldn't surprise you that a jewish person would be offended by that.I'm not offended, and I don't think you're being an asshole or anything. I am jewish and where i was raised it was like 40-50% jewish so everyone i encountered at least had met a jew in their life. However since comign to college i realize probably more than half of america has never met a jew first hand. I wear a jewish star now with pride hoping that people who never met a jew will have a positive view of them after meeting me. as poker players seem to be more rational people, i was wondering what this community thinks of jews in general. i probably dont have to say this because it is the internet, but be honest. if you hate us for whatever reasons just say it. i am curious to hear honest opinions.

I delivered Pepsi years ago, and spent a summer in a Jewish neighborhood in the Nati. I was amazed at the Jewishness. I mean I had always heard the typical Jewish stereotypes but it was surreal to actually see it first hand. I remember one guy who ordered ONE case of pop. He wanted a 4 different 6 packs mixed in the case. Another store owner thanked me at the end of summer by giving me a candy bar. He had only eaten half of it.Jewish women are mostly ugly with big buts and long noses.I know for a fact that all Jews hide their gold.Orthodox Jews are really creepy with wearing all black and dreadlocks. I notice that Christians prefer to do business with Christians, Gays prefer to do business with gays, women prefer to do business with women, and blacks prefer to do business with blacks. Only the Scots prefer not to do business with their own kind, but's thats another story ( hint they are cheap )They are actually equally successful in business ventures as anyone else that works hard and puts effort into it.

The tiny problem with that is... is that when their founder formed the cult he said that God told him that only 144,000 people will go to heaven and that you had to follow his way exactly to be included in the group... So what happened when they got over 144,000? Oops. God changed his mind.

They knocked on my door once and I ended up being a Jehovah's Witness for exactly 6 minutes until a Mormon knocked on my door and I became a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints. I'm easily swayed, what can I say.

the 144,000 are the first 144,000 JWs, the rest get paradise on earth.There is a good tract running around that's titled 143,999 written by a guy that was one of the original and left when he figured out it was a cult.

Mormon and JW are obviously both cults. They are taking the premise of an idea and totally changing it to fit what they believe to be true, based on nothing... other than ONE PERSONS thoughts.Watch the South Park episode on Mormonism... unfortunately it's right on.
