FrostyMcNugget 0
What's up everyone, this is my first post. I have been reading and enjoying the forum for some time now and thought it was about time I joined. By the way DN and the FCP's are the nuts!!Well back to the post..........What do you all think is the greatest poker accomplishment EVER in the history of poker? I feel poker's greatest stage- the WSOP- is where we should start, is it- Doyle Brunson's back-2-back in '76 and '77? Johnny Chan's back-2-back in '87 and '88 followed by a runner-up in '89? 1995 winner Dan Harrington's unreal performance in the '03 and '04 main events? Or is it something else? What do you think Daniel?I really hope this isn't an old subject?

GregF 0
How about this call from stuey ungar against mansour matloubi ? Stu could beat exactly three hands... Probably not the greatest accomplishment, but certainly one of the sickest move ever.http://www.cardplayer.com/poker_magazine/a...d=12930&m_id=46On another note, the three championships won by this same Stu have to be mentioned, although I can understand that Chan and Harrington place higher on the list. And finally, I also have to mention Daniel's win in the last tournament of the year to clinch POY award. Seriously that is amazing. He absolutely had to make the final table. Talk about someone who really gets to a higher level when under pressure.
SuM827 0
The greatest poker accomplishment ever is Phil Hellmuth convincing like half of the poker world that he is the greatest poker player ever, despite pretty much being a hold em' specialist, not winning many tournaments over the last few years, and not really playing in cash games (probably because he sucks at them). josharieh 0
Doyle definitely gets my vote for greatest accomplishment ever. This man is a freak of nature and there isn't even a distant 2nd in the poker world. What he contiunes to do at the tables is incredible. I must admit, the first time Doyle referred to me by name, it sent chills down my spine. I have always idolized his lifestyle and his ability to continue making money while the face of poker changed dramatically. If you ever see me sitting at the table with him, you see me staring at him in aww and trying to soak in every and any bit of advise i can squeeze out of him.Good luck boysJA
elkang 0
WSOP Main event field sizes matter. Dan's style and presence is great for the WSOP as it stands now. I mean who wants to tussle with the tight-wad he is?I would give it to Chan though. But, Dan Harrington's accomplishment is amazing and he has the cash prizes to back it up. hawsdog 0
What about Daniel's 2004? WPT player of the year and WSOP player of the year! That's amazing. Doyle's victories are by far the least impressive. Watching tapes of those old World Series, shows how much more difficult it is now, not only numbers wise, but skill level wise. Daniel's year was incredible, and not likely to be matched any time soon!
