Ok, so I'm playing a lot of online tournaments. And I keep getting it in with the best. Here's some examples. One: I'm in the big blind with J5 and four people just call. The flop is J 5 10 with two hearts. I bet half the pot and somebody puts me all in early in the tournament. I call KNOWING he has the flush draw, but I have two pair. He actually hits runner/runner straight and I'm out. Two: I have 2 3 in the small blind and see the flop cheap. The flop is 4 5 6. I overbet the pot and somebody puts me all in with two pair (6's and 4's). He rivers the full house. I'm out. Three: I raise under the gun with A K (four times the big blind). Flop comes A K 7 rainbow. Guy puts me all in with Q 10. He rivers the straight. I'm out.I'm starting to get a bit discouraged here. All of these were early in the tournament. I played very well to turn 1500 into 5k-7k before the first break in each tournament. Then I'm out.I know that there are a million variables that make it impossible to answer this question with 100% accuracy. But honestly, would anybody lay these hands down?Just looking for a bit of inspiration here. Thanks all!

Hopefully Power Holdem will be the answer, teaching us how to play small ball, keep pots manageable, and only get it all in with the nuts! This roll the dice 60/40, 70/30, hell even 80/20 edge stuff is just too hard in a tourney where 2 to 3 hours of solid play gets negated by a flash of donkiness! Roll too many of those together and you wonder why the hell you ever quit surfing porn to take up this silly game.At any rate, I am not sure but that is what I hope to get out of that book, sometime in 08 (YIKES!).Hang in there (or don't - just quit for a while if you are really running bad)

Don't play tournaments anymore? take your money to the cash tables or SNG's...or take a break from poker for a week, maybe you're running badThat or just be the guy who goes all-in with Q-2os and hits 2 pair on the flop against my K-K in a deep-stack tourney :club: But anyway...thats my advice. GL
