ThreeBet 0
Funny how this thread goes from people slagging the thread, making jokes to serious responses .... my serious response, while not that great of a laydown, is the best that I can remember doing.20/40 Kill game live ....Kill is on and it is mine (I post $40 kill and limits are now 40/80) in MP w/ QQ. Folded to me, I raise to $80. Guy immediately to my left is a regular and a very good and tight player who smooth calls 80. Folded to SB who also calls (70). Never played with this guy before and had seen him play 3 hands prior to this (I'd just sat down basically) and he seemed to be pretty good.Flop comes 10105 ... pretty sweet for pocket Q's. SB pauses, then checks. I bet 40, next guy raises to 80 and SB smooth calls. Don't know how, but I knew I was beat by at least one of'em, if not both. I call the 40 only because the odds are there (11 to 1) knowing I need a Q. Turn's a 6, I check, next guy bets 80, SB calls, I fold. Show it to the guy on my right and he can't believe I was folding. River is a Q! Should heard/seen the guy beside me when that river hit ... he couldn't contain himself batting me on the arm etc etc. Guy on my left had 55 and the SB had 1010 ... quads over Full House. Guy I showed my Q's to starts going on and on about how I layed them down, best laydown he'd ever seen etc ... it was pretty funny actually.
DB10-2 0
yeah, i folded JJ preflop after some very strange action in a home game last week and showed them to my friend next to me. he was visibly bothered. i said quietly, it's ok, that guy (other end of the table) is going to turn over two kings when this hand is over. i was right... scottyno 0
I folded aces preflop when a guy went all in in front of me and another called so I knew I had to be beat. One of them showing AK and the other showed QQ, and board came Q349K, world class laydown by me.
