dspholladay 0
Why is it that they don't have film of the WSOP that Matador won, or the one that Jesus won? Can someone explain this? It's weird cause they show the last one that Stuey won on ESPN all the time, and that was a few years before.
runawayjim19 0
They don't show the Jesus year (2000) because The Discovery Channel had the broadcast rights that year, and Ms. Binon was too cheep to spring for the holecard cameras as well..... I'm assuming something similar for 2001.
Omaha Hi/Lo 0
The Discovery Channel had 2001 for sure, I'm not sure about 2000. They filmed it as a documentary peice as opposed to the usual 1 hour episode. It was a documentary about the whole '01 WSOP culminating in the big 'World Championship'. It didn't do well, so they didn't reknew their contract for 2002, ESPN has aired that year many times. And as we all know the next year ESPN got the lipstick cams and poker changed forever... Kind've weird...I know they didn't have the lipstick cam but I would still like to see those 2 years, they're two of my favorite players.
