I read the first post then was about to reply and then decided to read the whole thread...glad general came to his senses...I've never introduced myself to DN, but I've been around him a lot in tourneys/casinos, I've eaten at tables next to him during dinner breaks and i've literally seen him stop eating to sign autographs and take pics, it's unreal. I've posted this before, but there are certain things to keep in mind when you are a "poker fan" and go to a tourney to rail your fav players. Mainly, a player might be pissed at a bad beat, a bad play he made (which pisses me off more than bad beats), a bad day in general, he might be in a hurry to get to his table so his hand won't be dead, he might have headphones on and not hear you...Either way I'd try to give the player a break during the 15 minutes he gets every 2 hrs, its not much time and it's really imortant. Regardless, I don't understand how people get offended when a celebrity doesn't give them the attention they want. Also, people should not bother a player while he's at the table, thats not cool. As for San Jose, "zoo" is an understatement...I have NEVER seen a rail like that on DAY 1 ...it's sick, Matusow called the people from san jose "the biggest/best poker fans in the world", they were everywhere asking for autographs pics and getting anything they could signed, it was pretty awesome.

I've met Daniel a couple of times. He's always been friendly and down to earth. Perhaps he's human and was preoccupied with making a living or maybe you're just an asshole.

I met him at the Borgata last year and I was surprised at how approachable he was. He spoke to me for a few minutes during one the breaks and answered all the questions I asked (mostly about High Stakes Poker) and signed something for me. I think maybe you just caught him at a bad time...

more like "it was"...it's common knowlege to almost anyone that knows you that you USED to be 'looshul' but after that guy asked for 'looshly', even you pretty much accepted that's how it should AND will be pronounced from now on. Looshious is the only thing that comes close to looshly.

Wow. Daniel is one of the short stacks at Shooting Stars, but what shocked me was how rude he was to us fans. Go ahead and flame me, but he was dismissive of us, signed a few autographs and left. I know he was probably thinking poker and was in the mindset of the game, but Daniel, you should treat us a little nicer. It seems that you put on an act in front of the camra, and then turned to us like we were just an annoyance. I used to think you were a cool dude, but I'm sorry that you are not the nicer person that you put on in front of the camras.

I met Daniel at the 2006 WSOP when he had already been playing for hours heads-up with Sexton at the final table of the TOC,on his break he was more than happy to take a minute and give me his autograph and talk to me for afew minutes BUT there wasn't alot of people around at the time. Later that week I seen Daniel again at Rio and you couldn't even get close to him or alot of the Pro's with all the people there. Daniel has always answered all my messages I sent him thru FCP. I'm sure if you sent Daniel a message that he'd be more than happy to take some time and get back to you.
