not everybody multitables.Maybe he had a bad run of cards.maybe he just needs a little more practice.ohio, stfu.

Awe typical of my generation to be upset by working hard and doing things the right way.
Playing poker shouldn't be a chore for people if they don't want it to be.

You should be getting in at least 500 hands an hour, if not more for this level. If you win 10bb/100, that's at least a buy in every 2 hours before bonus/rakeback/points. It shouldnt take you more than a solid weekend of play to move up a level if you are winning at those rates.
Boy, I'm getting tired of listening to these things. Maybe you should sticky this. Nevermind me, I'm just jealous.

Needs a little more practice = exactly my point that he should work his way up the stakes aka. practice until he is ready for a good buy inThe only way poker is not a chore is if you are playing for entertainment in which case you are PAYING for entertainment by losing money which is what he is on track to do

I'm not going to argue. Just wish you weren't so god damn condescending.
So you're the second person who has realized i'm right and stopped arguing, only the first guy used the word arrogant instead of condescending

Jon, do you just play full ring at these micro limits?Have you tried playing 6 max?
I play full rings. They don't have 6 max at the 2NL level. I'm not saying I'm going to crush the 50NL tables, but I sure won't be a losing player. I love how a certain someone assumes I'm going to go broke just because I'm skipping a few levels. I am a TAG player, and a TAG strategy is good enough to make a profit at 50NL. But this person probably wouldn't know that since he doesn't play cash games.

Post your thoughts on hands in the strat thread to keep you from getting rusty in your hiatus.

At stars they have 6 max at every level. There is a definite difference in the profit you can make compared to 6 max at these levels.Instead of cash, how about sng's? Or even MTT's?

I play those occasionally, but when it comes down to it, I'm a cash game player. I didn't mean to start a mini flame war with ohioplayer. I do understand what he's trying to say, but in reality and in the context of my original post, all of his posts don't hold any ground here. Now if I would've said I am quitting 2NL and saving up $15,000 to deposit and play 600NL then his posts would be credible. As there is a huge difference between playing 2NL and 600NL, but since I am only saving up to play 50NL, his posts are worthless on the subject. There is absolutely no reason that I won't be able to beat 50NL once I start playing.

Of course I could move up by playing, but it would take a very long time. Time is something I don't care to waste, especially on micro limits. So why not cut out the middle man, save the money, and then deposit my "real world money" so I can play at a higher limit. Thanks for posting. Have a great day.
I would recommend starting out not using bankroll mangement. If you have 100 dollars, play 20 dollar buy ins. I say that assuming that 100 bucks is easily replaceable if you go broke by other means of income. Once you get a decent bankroll, then start using bankroll management. When I had a bankroll around 200 bucks, I used careful bankroll management, but only because poker was my only source of income (i was 17). I know that my bankroll in my stars account doesn't really represent my true bankroll which is in the bank. That's why I played higher than my bankroll. But it actually wasn't playing out of my bankroll. If you have a job. Deposit 500 and start playing 50 dollar NL if you play cash games. No need to use such careful bankroll management when your utility for the money is so low. As utility goes up so should your bankroll management. This is all assuming 500 isn't life chanign money for you.

Well since you continue to show your lack of social skills I think I will argue with you. You're a total asshat that really needs to learn how to interact with people. Now back to him. You havent' seen him play, you can't say **** about him. All you are looking at is a winrate at lower limits and assuming that he couldn't make a small profit at .25/.50 or .50/1 which is totally retarded. If you can beat .001/.002 for a small profit you can beat up to 1/2 for a small profit. Maybe he makes too many plays that would work when the money meant more to people etc, you really have no idea, maybe he's just not adapting well to the mindset at the tables.

Nice hijack :club:
one post does not a hijack make. Is it my fault that people find me moderately amusing and have things that I've written as their signatures? I can think of at least three at present. Spence, Ouch8's, & Canuckstain (sp?) I'm kind of a big deal on here.We should discuss me at lengththat my friend, is a hijack
