...you knew it was coming...GoaliesANAHEIM DUCKS - This was my best set of goalies in 2006-07 and despite having a couple of horrible games they finished the season with a GGA of 2.771. I'm expecting them to give me another solid effort next season. I'm very pleased that I was able to acquire them from the Dawgs last April (along with Chris Pronger) for only $0.50 (2006-07).2006-07 $1.252007-08 $1.50 signedBOSTON BRUINS - I picked up this set of goalies last summer from the Rug Rats (I think I paid $0.25) as both insurance and a longshot. I wasn't sure how much goalies were going to go for at the free agent draft so I wanted 2 sets going in. I was also happy with the signing of Chara. Boston had a few rough outings and struggled at the beginning of the season, but they seemed to get better as the season went on. They finished the season with a GAA of 2.793. I will have them again next season.2006-07 $2.502007-08 $2.75 signedOTTAWA SENATORS - Here's the Jekyl and Hyde of the AHL goaltending world. The Sens can give you back to back shutouts and follow it up with 13 goals against in the next 2 games. They finished with a GAA of 2.769 which was just a little too good for my liking as I hoped they would slip into the 3rd salary grouping. Unfortunately they are due for a raise if I wish to sign them. I have the cash available to resign them, but I will also explore the possibility of trading them as there are a few teams out there with solid lineups being hampered by poor goaltending who may be interested. If I end up signing them it will probably be for 3 years. At $7.50 the 2010-11 season is too much IMO. I'm thinking $6.75 is a little steep too. 2006-07 $4.002007-08 $5.25 to sign2008-09 $6.00 to sign2009-10 $6.75 to sign2010-11 $7.50 to sign2011-12 $8.25 to signNO GOALIES - I went into last year's draft with two sets of goalies and I had predetermined the number of 'no goalie' games I would have depending on my 3rd set. I ended up with three, the fewest possible for me, when I picked up Ottawa. Here's how my three 'no goalie' games played out...October 16th - I defeated Blackdraft 0.5 to -1.5 with the help of a 2 point effort from Tyler Arnason and the fact that Blackdraft's goalies, the Tampa Bay Lightning, gave up 5 goals.October 23rd - A close loss to PK Dealers -1 to -1.5 despite the Dealers' goalies, Florida Panthers, giving up 6 goals. An assist from each of Tyler Arnason and Zbynek Michalek wasn't enough to match the point from each of Andrew Brunette and Josef Stumpel.January 26th - A blowout loss of 5 to -0.5 to the Ghosts of Elvis. My having no goalies was a non-factor as Ghosts got points from all 6 forwards.DefensemenFRANCOIS BOUILLON - Montreal Canadiens- I acquired Bouillon from the Red Ravens in the Expansion Draft with my last pick. I was hoping the new (interpretation of the) rules would lead to more offensive production, but unfortunately a couple of injuries have limited his production. There is still a chance he will produce more next season if he is given a more offensive role. His low salary makes him an ideal option for a 5th or 6th d-man on the Gothic. Bouillon will turn 32 early in the 2007-08 season so I'll probably sign him for the full 5 years.2006-07 $0.252007-08 $0.50 to sign2008-09 $0.50 to sign2009-10 $0.50 to sign2010-11 $0.50 to sign2011-12 $0.50 to signSTEVE EMINGER - Washington Capitals- Eminger has shown glimpses of what was expected, but overall he has been a disappointment. He was acquired along with Milan Jurcina and Todd White from Ravag for Chris Pronger. Eminger is still young so I'm expecting his production to increase with every passing year. I was hoping to get him signed for $2.00 for each of the next 5 years, but he just fell into the 4th salary grouping, therefore I can only sign him for 1 year at the same salary.2006-07 $1.502007-08 $1.50 to signNICKLAS GROSSMAN - Dallas Stars- Grossman is a big, young d-man who has some untapped offensive potential according to my sources. He was a mid-season pickup for $0.25. I will probably hang onto him for the season to see how he develops, but I'm not expecting to use him very often, if at all. He will cost $0.50 this season because he did not play the minimum 10 games last season.2006-07 $0.252007-08 $0.50 to signMILAN JURCINA - Washington Capitals- Jurcina was acquired with Eminger and Todd White from Ravag for Chris Pronger. The trade from Boston to Washington was a good one as Jurcina's icetime has almost doubled. He has a cannon for a shot and is very big. My hopes are that he will turn into another Chara. It seems like Washington management sees the same potential.2006-07 $0.252007-08 $0.25 to signBRAD LUKOWICH - New Jersey Devils- Lukowich was acquired from the Cheap Thieves along with P.J. Axelsson, Corey Sarich and Keith Carney for $3.00 (2008-09). I needed some cheap bodies to fill roster spots. Lukowich scored 1 goal in 10 games played with the Canadian Gothic. I made sure to get him into 10 games so I could resign him for 1 year at $0.25. He will not likely see much action again next season, perhaps only another 10 games.2006-07 $0.252007-08 $0.25 to signZYBENEK MICHALEK - Phoenix Coyotes- Michalek is bittersweet. I was hoping he would end up in the 3rd salary grouping, but he produced a little too much and finished in 43rd position - group 2 is 10th to 45th. This means his salary will increase more than I had hoped, but it's still a good bargain because I think he's going to be one of the more offensive d-men in the coming years. Michalek was acquired along with Matt Niskanen and Pittsburgh Goalies from the Red Ravens for $1.00 in 2007-08 and a 3rd round pick in 2006-07. He will be signed to a 5-year contract.2006-07 $0.252007-08 $1.25 to sign2008-09 $1.50 to sign2009-10 $1.75 to sign2010-11 $2.00 to sign2011-12 $2.25 to signCOREY SARICH - Tampa Bay Lightning- Sarich is similar to Lukowich. He will only see spot duty and will be signed for 1 year at $0.25.2006-07 $0.252007-08 $0.25 to signCHRISTOPH SCHUBERT - Ottawa Senators- Schubert continues to make the best of a crappy situation in Ottawa. He has shown some potential and chipped in with 2 goals and 8 assists in 31 games played with the Gothic. If he can get more icetime his numbers would improve and make him a great bargain. Schubert was picked up at the end of the draft last year. I will sign him for the 1 year allowed and will be entertaining offers for him during the offseason.2006-07 $0.252007-08 $0.25 to signLADISLAV SMID - Edmonton Oilers- Smid was acquired along with Mike York, Martin Lapointe and Janne Niinimaa from PK Dealers for a 4th round pick in 2006-07 and $2.25 in 2006-07. I reacquired the draft pick for Florida Panthers goalies. The only way I could get Smid was by taking on Niinimaa's contract, but I really think Smid is going to be a good one. I called him up late in the season to see if I could get him into the group 3 salary ranking, but he didn't get enough points and ended up in group 4. It was as close to a risk-free gamble as possible as I was planning on calling him up for next season anyway. I'm just hoping he doesn't bust out yet.2006-07 $0.502007-08 $0.50 to signHENRIK TALLINDER - Buffalo Sabres- I snagged Tallinder from Ingmen with my 3rd pick in the expansion draft. I was surprised he was left unprotected as he has good offensive potential in my opinion; plus, he was only $0.25. I'm hoping he can stay healthy next season. I will sign him for 5 years.2006-07 $0.252007-08 $0.50 to sign2008-09 $0.50 to sign2009-10 $0.50 to sign2010-11 $0.50 to sign2011-12 $0.50 to signJANNE NIINIMAA - Montreal Canadiens Press Box- I only acquired Enema so I could get Smid. I'm hoping he retires or goes back to Europe so I can place him on the Exemption List thus freeing up even more cash.2006-07 $5.002007-08 $5.50 signedFARMBRENDAN MIKKELSON - Anaheim DucksANDREJ SEKERA - Buffalo SabresKEVIN KLEIN - Nashville PredatorsDOUG O'BRIEN - Tampa Bay LightningMATT NISKANEN - Dallas StarsMATT GREENE - Edmonton OilersForwardsMATTHEW LOMBARDI - Calgary Flames- Lombardi was acquired along with Nigel Dawes for $0.75 in 2006-07 from the Ingmen. Lombardi is the best player on the ice at times, but also disappears at times. I think he has the tools to be a point per game player in the NHL, but I think he may have to get out of Calgary to do it. I was hoping he'd fall to the 3rd grouping, but no such luck. Regardless, I will be signing him for 5 years.2006-07 $0.502007-08 $1.50 to sign2008-09 $1.75 to sign2009-10 $2.00 to sign2010-11 $2.25 to sign2011-12 $2.50 to signDARCY TUCKER - Toronto Maple Leafs- Tucker was acquired from the Mustangs for Nick Boynton. I originally acquired Boynton from the Swackers with my 2nd pick in the expansion draft. Tucker is already signed for next season at a fairly decent price. Hopefully he stays healthy.2006-07 $2.752007-08 $2.75 signedTYLER ARNASON - Colorado Avalanche- Arnason is another one of those players that dominates one game and disappears the next. He is relatively young and his price his low so I will be signing him for 5 years. He's an NHL UFA so I'm hoping he ends up on a team where he can get ample icetime.2006-07 $0.502007-08 $0.75 to sign2008-09 $0.75 to sign2009-10 $0.75 to sign2010-11 $0.75 to sign2011-12 $0.75 to signTODD WHITE - Minnesota Wild- Todd White is adequate. He's not bad nor is he spectacular. Age and injuries are becoming a factor so I may only sign him for 3 or 4 years. As stated above, White was acquired from Ravag in the Pronger deal.2006-07 $0.502007-08 $0.75 to sign2008-09 $0.75 to sign2009-10 $0.75 to sign2010-11 $0.75 to sign2011-12 $0.75 to signOWEN NOLAN - Phoenix Coyotes- Nolan performed very well for the Gothic this season contributing 8 goals and 9 assists in 29 games. Age and injuries are a concern so he may just be signed for 1 season although I may make it two considering the low cost. Nolan was acquired along with a boatload of picks from the Ghosts of Elvis for cash.2006-07 $0.502007-08 $0.75 to sign2008-09 $0.75 to sign2009-10 $0.75 to sign2010-11 $0.75 to sign2011-12 $0.75 to signKYLE CALDER - Detroit Red Wings- Calder got off to a very slow start and I believe it was partly due to mismanagement on the Flyers part. Calder, in my opinion, needs someone to feed him the puck. If he doesn't stay in Detroit I'm hoping he ends up on a team with some guys who can pass the puck. Calder was acquired from PK Dealers for 3 draft picks.2006-07 $0.502007-08 $0.50 signedANSON CARTER - Carolina Hurricanes- Carter is the biggest contract on my team. I'm interested to see what team he ends up with. I will be looking to tread him, but I'm not going to give him away as he does provide sporadic offense. Carter was acquired from PK Dealers for $0.75 in 2006-07 and $0.75 in 2007-08.2006-07 $7.752007-08 $7.75 signedP. J. AXELSSON - Boston Bruins- As stated Axelsson was acquired from the Cheap Thieves. I targeted him because I knew he would be given a chance on the Bruins top line and he was cheap. Despite injuries, he produced 5 goals and 7 assists in 29 games for the Gothic. I'm uncertain how long I will sign him as his position on the Bruins depth chart may change although his low cost is easily affordable over 5 years.2006-07 $0.252007-08 $0.50 to sign2008-09 $0.50 to sign2009-10 $0.50 to sign2010-11 $0.50 to sign2011-12 $0.50 to signMIKAEL SAMUELSSON - Detroit Red Wings- Another Gothic player that produced adequately when healthy. Unfortunately Samuelsson missed a lot of time due to injuries. Samuelsson was acquired from Purple Hearts for Martin Lapointe, Pittsburgh Penguins goalies and cash. Samuelsson will be resigned for 4 or 5 years.2006-07 $0.252007-08 $0.50 to sign2008-09 $0.50 to sign2009-10 $0.50 to sign2010-11 $0.50 to sign2011-12 $0.50 to signNILS EKMAN - Pittsburgh Penguins- Acquired from Shootloose in a trade that also included Michel Ouelett and Guillaume Latendresse, Ekman is yet another player that was doing okay until the injury bug bit. Yeah, Serge had injuries...lol.2006-07 $0.502007-08 $0.50 signed2008-09 $0.50 signed2009-10 $0.50 signedMIKE YORK - Philadelphia Flyers- 3 goals and 4 assists in 18 games is a disappointment. However, he has produced more as of late. York is a player that I'm not quite sure about. He has the talent, but hasn't displayed it on a consistent basis.2006-07 $2.252007-08 $2.50 to sign2008-09 $2.50 to sign2009-10 $2.50 to sign2010-11 $2.50 to sign2011-12 $2.50 to signGUILLAUME LATENDRESSE - Montreal Canadiens- I called Latendresse up late in the season in a move that was questioned my a few other GMS. My intention was to get him signed for 5 years at the best contract possible. By calling him up I assured myself of one of three possibilities. He could play at least 10 games and end up in the third grouping thus enabling me to sign him at $2.00 for 5 years. He could play at least 10 games and end up in the fourth grouping in which case I would be in the same situation as if I hadn't called him up at all. That is, signed for 1 year at $1.50. The third possible result was that he ended up not playing a minimum of 10 games. This would mean I would have to give him a 10% increase therfore signing him for 1 year at $1.75. There was no risk of having him end up in the second grouping as I would not have dressed him for a 10th game had his PPG average been close to the bubble. The risk to me seemed very +EV. 2006-07 $1.502007-08 $2.00to sign2008-09 $2.00 to sign2009-10 $2.00 to sign2010-11 $2.00 to sign2011-12 $2.00 to signMAXIME TALBOT - Pittsburgh Penguins- Talbot was a mid-season pickup for $0.25. He has scored 1 goal and 2 assists in 5 games. I will sign him for 1 season at $0.50 and hope he can move up on the Pens depth chart or end up on another team as I think he has definite offensive potential.2006-07 $0.252007-08 $0.50 to signNIGEL DAWES - New York Rangers- Dawes started the season in New York but quickly found himself in Hartford. He wasn't quite ready, but he's that much closer. I will entertain offers for Dawes.2006-07 $0.502007-08 $0.75 to signBLAIR JONES - Tampa Bay Lightning- Jones was another mid-season pickup for $0.25. He has offensive skills, but whether or not he can tap into them is the question. I'm still uncertain if I will resign Jones.2006-07 $0.252007-08 $0.50 to signBARRY TALLACKSON - New Jersey Devils- Another midseason pickup for $0.25. I like Tallackson's potential, but I will monitor the Devils over the summer to determine his position in their system.2006-07 $0.252007-08 $0.50 to signJASON ALLISON - Unrestricted free agent.- Allison can kiss my ass. Yeah, Chris, you can tell him that. Unless he signs with an NHL team during the summer he will be placed on my Exemption List.2006-07 $4.252007-08 $4.75 signed2008-09 $5.25 signedFARMROBBIE EARL - Toronto Maple LeafsALEXEI KAIGORODOV - Phoenix CoyotesDANNY IRMEN - Minnesota WildPHILIP MCRAE - London KnightsBRYAN LITTLE - Atlanta ThrashersROB SCHREMP - Edmonton OilersTROY BROUWER - Chicago BlackhawksSTEVEN STAMKOS - Sarnia StingLAURI KORPIKOSKI - New York RangersAvailable Funds 2007-08$57.002007-08 salary if eveyone is signed$48.75without Allison $44.00

I know he's not on your team, but did you see Tavares had 4 goals tonight? On pace to break Gretzky's record again.
He's ok. :D:club:

The Boston Bruins signed Manny Fernandez so I think My Boston Goalies just got a little better. The Thrashers signed UFA Todd White to a 4-year contract. I'm hoping he'll see some time with Kovalchuk and/or Hossa. I'll probably sign White for 4-years to match his Atlanta contract.Corey Sarich is now with the Calgary Flames.Tyler Arnason re-signed with Colorado. I like that.Gothic players still waiting for new NHL contracts include:Nils EkmanJason AllisonSteve EmingerMilan JurcinaAnson CarterMaxime TalbotChristoph SchubertOwen NolanKyle CalderKevin KleinMatt GreeneMike York

Do you think Allison will land anywhere?
I have more hope now than before. Apparently he took last season off to deal with his divorce. I wouldn't mind Montreal taking a chance on him at a reasonable price.

Exactly.Ekman, though? I dunno about him. Not looking so great for him staying around. I don't know that he ever really got a fair chance in Pittsburgh, what with the injury, then being thrust into the line-up late in the year as a band-aid.

He was already told they will not be making him an offer.

Not bad, not bad at all. I actually have Vyborny in FCHL, although my Vyborny is $1.00 :club: You may see some updated FCHL threads tomorrow... we had our auction tonight.
I love the trade because I have Lombardi in Calgary and Matt Niskanen in Dallas. Chicago is closer to my timeline in terms of development too.Is there a link where I can check out the site or is it top secret?
