Here's an email I just sent to him (feel free to copy it and resend it from your own address):Hi Mark,You wrote some things I don't agree with. And it's not just me, a guy named Daniel Negreanu disagrees too. We want to play poker online. You don't want us to. Boo hoo you! Stop writing things!

Mark Kreidler is a such an idiot...He says D'amato lies about how many members the PPA has? and that he lies about many people play poker in the United States?"D'Amato is taking a "leadership position" with the Poker Players Alliance, a group you've never heard of that nevertheless is committed to doing God's work by protecting the rights of card players everywhere to lose money online."Lol, yeah thats right, EVERYONE loses money online, thats why for some reason people make a living playing online? kinda weird huh?"D'Amato rallies to the defense of those brave and heroic online gamers, who evidently need protecting in the form of Congressional legal re-interpretation. (Translation: Exempt poker from the no-credit-card law, and we're good to go.)"Lets not forget the only reason those dumb asses passed this law is because we don't have pay taxes on the money we earn, the U.S government can't stand that.. I don't appreciate his sarcasm in this article, D'Amato never called us brave and heroic, we just want to play poker... We don't need protecting, we just want the ability to play on our favorite poker siteI now have a least favorite sports writer, move over Jay Marriotti!

this thread (with no posters having 200 posts) seems like a movie where the reds come to town, mix in with the workers, and start asking a bunch of questions (and other very devilish things) to get everyone on their side. i don't know the story but the PPA is a hoax, it's a shoax.there must have been a thread about this yesterday that i didn't read because seriously in the shower this morning "cuss, cuss, cuss" was running through my head.

In the past I've found Kreidler to be an engaging writer and commentator; despite this column I will likely buy his book, "Four Days To Glory." I don't think he is a total idiot. He is a columnist and he writes with a take on a given issue. I think he feels compelled to try to entertain his readers in everything he writes, and in this case he decided to take a position that was not well thought out or at least not throughly researched. He is obviously writing this column an angle (dripping with sarcasm). Having said that, I just think his take is wrong on this one. Hell, even the webpage on ESPN.com where his column appears conducted a poll where 86% of the respondents think online poker should be legal. And if Kreidler feels compelled to entertain by stirring up the crap, then he needs to accept that in doing so, that some crap might get flung back his way. That is why I posted contact info.

His article is not only wrong; it is poorly written and provides no support for his opinion. Kreidler does not address the issue. He merely patronizes poker players and personally attacks D'amato. If he writes his other columns in the same style I don't see why anyone would buy his book. Sarcasm can be very effective in opinion columns if used correctly, but Kereidlers' overuse makes him look like a bumbling idiot.

Huh?
the first few replies seemed odd to me.the PPA is nothing. 2+2 payed a PI to research it and the report was not good. basically, they don't have to show accounting of funds, and are completely unchecked. they have an office in D.C. that is just a secretary who says that no one ever comes in. super sketchy IMO.mike tyson's original trainer's name was cuss d'amato. yesterday i must have unconsciously seen a thread w/ "d'amato" in the title and it put "cuss" in my head this morning. i have bi-polar 2, slight OCD, and slight skitzo so sometimes you have to bear (correct one?)with me.
