Edit: yes, t-bay, but not the main table (where all the yum-yums are)lol people Ive never seen before mainly...the ones I do regognize arent involved...ok, so standard raise...UTG 3 bets, BB calls, MP calls I CALL... any thoughts on just calling?TURN = blank, black and low, cant remember which one...UTG bets, BB folds, MP calls, I CALL... again, at this point, I beleive UTG has flopped a flush or straight, and am hoping for a board pair...RIVER = Ad, UTG bets, MP folds, I smooth call once more... I think the river is standard, he may have had Ah-Ax and just made a bigger set, flopped flush/straight, alot of hands... is there every any time this gets pitched? I tend to have the biggest flaw NL players have, not calling when I should even though I think I am behind... Results to follow

Yes, cap. If you are behind, you have an equity edge even.

As played, raising the turn is reads based. If it's the loose-passive regulars, I call (even moreso if they lead after my cap on the flop). However, if it's wild Bill, then I raise all day long.River is a standard call. Pot is retardedly huge.

I think your probably being result oriented here and I would expect to be good here alot and would never consider folding. Cap flop because we have the best hand or a draw with huge eguity.

Although you do have equity in a raise on the flop, you also can't protect your hand with a raise.I think there may be more value in calling the flop, and raising the turn if no heart comes.Going by a typical 3/6 or 4/8 live game that I'm used to, far too often this is AQ/QJ or even QK to worry about the flopped straight or flush.

zach - i goto school here, id say i go once every week or two, just for a session... i'm a pretty bad limit player, but i can beat that game so i will play it...im from mississauga, so im used to playing NL live at niagra... on a side note, wtf is up with no NL spread up here? i cannot get an answer out of anyone in the poker room.anyways, results...UTG had Ax-9h, and my set held up... so sick, so to whoever said i was being results oriented you couldn't be more wrong...UTG player made me some mooolah that night.EDIT: more than likely hitting the TBCC tonight, probaly sit with the degenerates and play some blowjob first, then maybe move to pokah...

just noticed this post, so im replying again...to comment on typical live 3/6 game, that is exactly what that is... meaning more often than not i WOULD be hearing from QJ, AQ, KQ pre-flop... hence my reasoning behind thinking he flopped it...but i understand now that i did play it a little bit conservative, but im a NL player, can you blame after seeing that board? :club:

I probably cap the flop for equity sake here. Waiting for the turn to raise isnt that great of an idea from a hand protection standpoint because a nut flush draw is still getting the right odds to call $12 on the turn. Raising the turn from a value betting standpoint is a possibility and is read dependent. I would probably call it down after the cap myself without a read.

This flop is a must cap. Waiting to raise the turn makes no sense. If he has Ah he will check alot of the time and if he flopped a flush you get 3 bet in a spot where you cant fold.
