I have played underage at numerous AC casinos, probably in the range of 15-20 times. I have never brought or used a fake ID, and I got ID'd once. When that happened, I just went to a different casino, where they didn't card me. Just don't be a jackas.s, don't use a fake, and if you get ID'd, just check your pockets and say, "****, I must have left it in my car." Once you're seated at a table, you're safe.erac

The risk to you is minimal, the risk to the casino is huge if you get caught by local, state or federal authorities. If I found you in my casino playing I would have you taken out and let the boys beat the ever loving **** out of you for putting my license in jeopardy or costing me a ton of dough in fines just so you could play like the big boys.

And then you would get put in prison for assault.

Then you could add a bunch of legal bills and a nice settlement to your tab. I hope you don't own a bar. The risk isn't huge at all. You pay a fine, fire a security guard, then continue business as usual, churning out those taxes.

As a minor, you're looking at a small civil penalty ($50-$500) depending on where you get caught. Depending on the state, and the agency that catches the minor, the establishment will also be fined a civil penalty (usually under $10,000).If a casino employee catches you, most of the time you're banned from the casino. They may also take your chips away, since it is illegal for them to allow you to cash chips. As to beating someone physically, that would be "battery", not assault. This is assuming you and your thugs did it silently. If not, then you may be charged with "assault and battery".

Yeah, scarey. Nobody in Vegas ever got their asses kicked. And every body that did it got arrested for battery. It was mainly all the video cameras out in the desert that did them in. I don't know why a casino manager couldn't figrure out a way to do it where nobody saw anything, and the juvinile had no proof whatsoever.

http://www.state.nj.us/lps/p90615a.htmUnderage Gambling Enforcement Under the program, investigators from the Divisions of Gaming Enforcement and State Police will work with the Atlantic City Police Department to combat underage drinking and gambling in Atlantic City casinos.According to Division of Gaming Enforcement Director John Peter Suarez, this summer will mark the first comprehensive effort with expanded presence of undercover law enforcement officers to deter underage gambling in casino properties."The stepped-up underage gambling enforcement effort is timely with an increased population of New Jersey's young men and women on summer vacation from school or college," said Attorney General Farmer."Although it is clearly against the law, underage gambling does occur," said Suarez. "The Division of Gaming Enforcement, with the support of the casino industry, makes every attempt to eliminate it. Today we are re-doubling our efforts with a more systematic approach to deter underage gambling."Suarez added that Division of Gaming Enforcement staff, thousands of casino employees, including security guards, have been trained to detect and apprehend underage gamblers. An individual charged with underage gambling faces a disorderly persons offense and can face imprisonment of up to six months and fines up to $1,000. If the individual is under 18 years old, he or she will be processed as a juvenile.According to the Division of Gaming Enforcement, in 1998, approximately 400 underage gamblers were taken into custody in Atlantic City casino properties.Attorney General Farmer also reminded the alcoholic beverage retailers and casino industry representatives about the State's new 10-year digitized drivers' license recently signed into law by Governor Whitman. The new license will be implemented on a renewal basis over a four-year period beginning next year."The new digitized license will provide law enforcement, alcoholic beverage retailers and casino industry representatives with a more secure document they need to combat underage drinking," Farmer said.Under the new provisions, New Jersey licenses will have a digitized picture and signature. Driver pictures will be stored in a central database, making it easier for law enforcement to verify a driver's identity. The new license will also allow driver's license information to be encoded on either a bar code or a magnetic strip. Licensed drivers under the age of 21 will have a different color license and will have an under 21 identifier on the face of the license.Farmer noted that the new license will also protect against counterfeit licenses and will make it much more difficult for people to use fraudulent identities.

When I lived in Northern California I went to Reno often and played underage. Most of the time no one bothered me. The only times i did get carded was standing by the blackjack tables (not playing, just talking with friends) and security just told me I would have to leave the casino. Of course the second time I was carded by the same security guard in two days he wasn't nearly as cordial as the first time and he told me to get my *** out of there and if he caught me again I would be charged and it was a $500 fine. So, of course, I still gambled but waited until late at night (was daytime both times I was carded) :club:

Well, here's a tip.. don't play in any games that have a jackpot drop..If you win the high hand, get a hand on the monte carlo board, or win part of a bad beat jackpot... the first thing they will do is card you. So you won't win the money you could h ave, and they will probably take the chips you have in front of you (or possibly worse, who knows). Jackpot games are suckers bets anyway, but sometimes if the game is good enough, they are worth playing. However, if you are underage, you're essentially throwing away the dollar or two that gets droped into the jackpot. You can never collect ifyou win.. if you say that you forgot your wallet or what ever, maybe they won't take your chips, but you still won't win the jackpot. SO, just stay away from jackpot drop games. This is next to impossible in WA state, if you're not playing a larger limit game. But in vegas or AC there are lots of non jackpot games. I don't know about cali.

There is like no way around playing poker or anything at any of my casino's. They have caught so many underage people, because those people have heard about people doing it in AC, or LV, this isn't LV, or AC, this is Missouri. They card you the first thing when you step onto the casino floor, if you look young they card you. When you go to cage to collect your money from cash games, or from a tourney, they card you, and they have this little device to put your license under, to make sure its real, so fake ID"s are out of the question. Thats how most people get caught around here. They have no problem getting past the guards, with the fake ID, but when they win, and go to get there money, the person at the cage puts there license under that device, and thats when they get busted. Sucks for them, because after that they get banned from the casino, for 1 year up to forever.

Yeah, it's really not a big problem in AC as long as you don't show a fake ID or anything like that. I would play a lot when I was underage, and if I got carded, I would just go with the simple, "I left my license in the car" line. They'd tell me I can't play without ID, and I'd go to a different casino. Never any sort of problem cashing out chips, etc. They're not out there looking to arrest younger kids for playing cards. Never drank underage in any of those situations though...no wiggle room and not worth the risk in that area.

Thanks for all the confessions. Next time a punk refuses to put all his chips in when the supervisor tells him that he called my all in, etc. I'll know to ask them to check his I.D. :club:

Don't know about consequences but if they catch you and try to take you into a backroom etc. You MUST make a scene so people can hear/see and say whatever you want to say to me you can say it here. You have no legal right to take me elsewhere by force. However they are allowed to kick you out but if you're with friends make sure they go out with you. That is the best way not to get your *** kicked. I saw an ex-cop blackjack player say this on T.V so it must be true. :club:

In my area (New England) I get urges to drive down to AC and take the risk of getting carded all the time. Though, not only isn't it worth it to me, but I can find legal games around these parts anyways.Granite-state poker (nh) and Bay-area poker are both 18+'s that have regular games every week.Legal alternatives are the way to go. Winning a big pot and the unhappy tourist tells the floor manager to check my I.D. and he gets it all back, plus i lsoe all my money, hmmm.
