DrunkAces 0
Boy do I love watching this guy. Its like watching a train wreck happen. Anyone hear his post tourny interview.... I think he said he is the best player on tour and he just got unlucky tonight. What a joke. WPT probably loves him though...great for ratings.

AK33 0
Oh I couldn't believe it, he mentioned more than once that he put himself in the top five players in the world. Now, I know you have to be confident in your game to be a successful poker player but this guy takes that idea to new atmospheres. Could his head be blown up any more? He's worse than Hellmuth, at least Phil can sometimes back himself up but what has this guy done that is so great??? I loved watching him self destruct after Layne knocked his stack down after the QJ against 84 hand. A player like him can't get over hands where he's beat and it affects him until he finally busts out. Oh and I also loved the fact that when he got lucky against Layne's AA it was like "he knew it was coming" and then when Erick Brenes out drew him it was this huge ordeal. I'd pay to see him against Phil heads up any day.
DrunkAces 0
the look on matasows face was priceless....you could see the steam coming out of his ears. if he whipped out a gun and started mowing people down it would not surprise me! MORE MATASOW!!!
TX RedRocker 0
Isn't he the same guy that told Raymer at the World Series when Raymer folded that he had big balls and Raymer had small balls?I think it is the same guy. What an idiot.

jooka 0
I thought it was funny how the crowd wouldnt cheer for him and he had to be his own cheering section.

hansenschick 1
He really wasn't as bad as I expected him to be. I have seen worse behavior from the guy. When he lost that hand against Brenes I really thought he was going to break down and cry. His meltdowns just don't look healthy to me. On the other hand he didn't look coked out like he did during last years WSOP.Poor Layne. He played really well and sucked out to Brenes' pocket 2's. But, unlike Mike the Mouth, he took it like a man. He took it like a man when Mike got the 3 kings on him too and proceeded to act like a complete idiot. Like the crowd I was rooting for anyone but Mike to win this one (after my boy John Juwanda went out).
Vade 0
Layne seems to be a totally different guy now.It seems like he's given up drinking too, probably at the behest of his family

joe_13 0
He's annoying. He kept saying "It never ends for me." Did he mean that he never stops sucking out on people? Because his suck out on Flack was one of the worst suckouts I've ever seen.Yet he bitches about his bad beat...What an idiot.
JackTenOS 0
The best was after Mike shows a bluff to the dead money Dr. at the table Lane says "Don't think I won't read you like a book the rest of the day now."Mike never ran another bluff (at least on Lane).
Swift_Psycho 1
best line ever Layne "ask me" Mike "what you got" Layne "you beat"Agreed, I was laughing like a hyena when Layne said that.
AUBrandon 0
what about that big puppy dog frown on mike's face after erick caught the river with that 86 os... that was priceless..
Runin 0
I personally like Mike, but I'm a fan of Helmuth also so whatever. Maybe its because I'm from NY that loud, egotistical people like that make me feel at home. To be honest by the end of the show last night I didn't care much for Layne Flack. As for Mike's suckout. Come on, he had top pair with a decent kicker, he obviously didn't put Layne on pocket Aces and who could with the way he played some of the garbage hands he had. So yeah, he caught a lucky river card with the kings, but he made the call thinking he was ahead, not fishing for something. As for the QJ vs. 84 hand, I don't know why he got so upset. He played a junk hand and caught bottom pair, you have to almost expect to get beat with something like that.
Guest
I think Mike sincerely thought that layne was making a play on his with the 84 hand... It wasnt a good read on hsi part... but thats what he believed I think....and he knew that although he had a pair and he might have felt it was ahead... theres was no way he could call... Im sure he was probably thinking that this hand would haunt him on TV.... Just my opinion...Either way, I kinda like Mike too... His ego is to big, but I think hes a good player... Awful 0
I think the best was the tone of voice Shana Hiatt took with him at his exit interview. Everyone else she's got the professional thing, for Matusow it was the "sound sympathetic for self-preservation" voice. I can only assume it's the voice used only to turn down or shoo away creepy/weird fans in person, and dealing with Mike the Mouth after he loses. Also, mentioning the exit interviews, Juanda needs some better material... he's always so boring at those, despite his ability to give the needle well and express some understated but sharp humor.
