There was a small part of me that was praying for some good news in this thread, but I know better.I havent purchased a cd in probably over a year ( I download everything of course) but I would get the new GNR disc the day it came out.So sick... I think it was released earlier that that, but I was in the military and posted to a base in Northern Canada....I hope it wasn't raining on you when you were standing in line.. up in Northern canada, in november.. Axl and GnR as geniuses? Dunno about all that....they haven't really been relevant in over a decade....I mean I still have the cassette of Appetite For Destruction too, and it's an all-time classic, but I just can't imagine Axl's voice being worth a hoot anymore. Even if GnR would get together, with the original band, it would be major disappointment, with over priced tickets, musicans who burned out 20 years ago, and at least 1/3 of the show's canceled due to axil's psychosis. When the UYI albums came out, people were like dude what's with the piano. But they had to do that and evolve. Axl Rose stated "he wanted to bury Appetite". That's the way I look at the new songs off Chinese Democracy. In no way will it ever be better or close to as good as Appetite but I am still impressed in the new sound and cannot wait to hear the entire cd...when it comes out sometime in the next 5 years. *crosses fingers* Link to post Share on other sites

Axl's voice was definetly on that day and was able to change his range pretty well.
