I played like 1k hands and got owned. I'm not even going to look at the PT til tomorrow. I didn't end up getting to the gym because I sat around for Becca who apparently wants to be a bitch today and never shows up. A few things happened while I played that were beyond the norm which ended up tilting me. There was this female villain who ran 60/8/4 who chat tricked me twice! How ridiculous is that? I need to show my g/f that it is possible to win a decent amount in like an hour. She always gets mad when I quit an hour into my session up like a BI and a half or so. Do you find that you have a ton more variance playing short sessions? Seems that it would be harder to play out of downswings.

I think short sessions only happen when either:- you win a good amount quickly and are satisfied (which leads into the next point...)- you aren't really in the mood to be playing- you start tilting and need to quitI think it is bad practice to schedule short sessions, thus I think your question about more variance is answered with a 'yes' but it is equally influenced by the above reasons as it is with seeing fewer hands (which obviously will lead to more variance).

My thought process this morning: Ok time for a morning sessionWeee the 5/10 and 3/6 tables have some huge fishWeee I busted one huge fishWeee I busted another fishBooo huge fish with lots of money just left the tableI'm up a good amount so I'll quit and have lunchGenerally if I start a session off and get stuck early, I play much longer because I don't want to be stuck. I do like to play more shorter sessions instead of one long session though. It helps me stay focused and keeps me in the habit of quitting for a little while if I get tilted.Mark
