US Airways plane crashed/landed/emergency laned in the Hudson River.Flight was from LaGuardia to Charlotte...Looks like people are being rescued on TV......crazy. Pilot looks like he may have saved a bunch of lives with this landing.Shit like this always kinda freaks me out as much as I fly.......

Looks as if birds getting sucked into the engines causes two of them to fail. Wow, I always wondered what would happen if birds were hit. I would have thought they would have put some sort of guards up or something...No injuries or deaths reported

Ok so 10K posts holla!!! Obv its going here in the cthread. I won’t try for anything big because Rdog totally owned the soul of every other 10K post imo. So I’ll just honor a couple of requests:I was asked to post about my poker journey a little. You can read probably everything in my well, but basically I ‘went pro’ with no experience just some money saved up and a dream. I sucked for about a year and was going to have to quit poker because I was one of those people that just felt like he was SOOOO unlucky because every time I would bluff they would have it, every time I had top pair they had a set, etc. I was treading water at best at 1/2nl. I was already well past the 6 months my wife had given me to show I could be a winning player. I went to Vegas with a few of my poker buddies and my last $1500 and decided to luckbox the crap outta my first ever WSOP event From there I got some coaching and got to know some really good players who helped my game a ton and got me to where I was respectable. I’m a big believer in personal coaching for that reason, it’s what changed my game the most.Some shout outs. First off, I’d like to say thanks and I love you to everyone in this thread, it is what keeps poker from getting old and boring. Without her encouragement of me to just jump in and play and faith in me to always make sure our family was taken care of, I would have quit long ago. She had to suffer through some pretty hard times. I’m not really into breaking stuff but I’ve smashed a lamp, smashed a phone, and kicked a hole in a wall (all on the same day ) I’ve taken wayyyy too long to learn to leave work at work so to speak. I’ve been moody and generally been a horrid person to be around at times when things have gone poorly. But she has always supported me and especially the last two years, she really has gotten good at recognizing my mood and knowing exactly how to make me happy and not say the wrong thing at the wrong time. Pretty much every day I think to myself, How can anyone do this crazy job without the support of a great wife? I know I couldn’t. My best friend Chris was just in town and left a post it note for me on my desk. He also has been my biggest poker fan (even more so than Shannon). Shan saw it and left me a post it note too a couple of days ago on our 13th anniversary. I leave you with the picture that cheers me up every day. I hope everyone in this thread also has people in their lives that make it worth living like I do. Oh and yay. Cleaning out my comp of dust and shit reduced the temperature by over 40 degrees (I was running between 70 and 85 degrees Celsius which is just insane). I can't even hear the fan now. Hopefully I don't experience overheating again for a while.

The problem with 2 engines failing....was that the plane only has 2 engines. The pilot is a hero imo.

Jena played on the boat here when I used to go, she actually final tabled the 2nd big Boatament and took 3rd or 4th. She's early to mid forties and while not exactly hot hot, she's quite easy on the eyes. She does have a daughter about 20 that is definitely hot.
