so I'm here with a few of my friends, we're grinding online, they all play HU cash...none of them are actually telling me this is wrong but they're all confused...thought this was a funny hand, not sure if I'm being stubborn thinking this is good.... it's certainly not something I'd ever do really....
I guess if you have some reason to think he isn't checking behind a draw on the turn..? Outside of that if he's seemed nitty post flop and is continuing in the hand, I dunno seem iffy. Guess he justs needs to fold once right...heh :club:

I like donking that river soooooooo much more then c/r'ing.
jc i saw you do that and i thought it was insane sick crazy you c/r turn and riv. i thought he had a weak king from the flop on, so when you c/r the river i was really thinking you flopped a boat. your flop lead is ok, but I dont like it in mix with c/r the turn. generally if I c/r and get flatted, the guy either has the king, has a draw, or is floating me, which is the least likely in most matches. so i like check/calling the turn and hoping he fires river. i dont think your line is totally unbelievable, but i just dont thing enough villains are betting that turn without a hand that doesn't care if you CR (err, that specific villain).i thought ur line was real crazy there, but i didnt like it from an unbiased view of someone that saw like 15 hands before this.- Jordan
I pretty much agree with both of these guys. Once you get to the river in that spot, the only hand he's likely betting for value is a king or he has a missed draw. If he bets with a king, he's virtually never folding it since people don't fold top pair, let alone trips. If he's betting the missed draw, then you're shoving your stack to win the pot where as a river lead looks like a much more standard play for Kx or a boat and it's a lot cheaper as a line for you to bluff since you only have to risk $200-$300 instead of your remaining $500.I do think that a line like this is basically never going to get credit though since it's damn near impossible to get a ton of value since you whiff on the c/r somewhere so frequently that you'd be better off just barreling your good hands.

That pot should never be that small by the river.
This. We have top set in a 3b pot, we want to inflate this pot so that we can get all of the money in by the river.

And even if he doesn't, that flop raise needs to be soooo much bigger.
