I played it super passive knowing 100% that he really didn't have anything. I think a bet or a raise anywhere really just folds out hands that might bluff later..Obv I play it quicker if I give him more credit, but remember that he has 3-bet me in every pot preflop.

I had been playing mostly 50NL and 100NL, beating it for 1-2BB/100 on good months, nothing impressive at all. I have been studying/reading/watching CR videos a lot over the past few months and this month things seemed to just kinda click in my head (or at least I was under the impression they did). Then I started making $ in some of the higher limits, which padded my bankroll and gave me confidence, and there was a stretch that I just couldn't seem to lose, dunno if it was because I was playing well or just getting lucky, but I really thought I was playing well (the curse of winning sometimes).I really think that my BR getting so high (for me) caused me to change the way I played because I became concerned about losing, but I couldn't and still can't necessarily put a finger on how I did change.I guess marginal (and maybe marginal was an incorrect word) spots that I was speaking of was hands like AK/JJ/QQ that on a handful of occasions I would play for stacks PF at 100NL this month, where as in the past (or at a higher level - even if it might be more proper to do so at a higher level), I would rarely stack off with those. Also I think I gave less credit to short stacks at 100NL than I probably should have, and lost 30-40BB in spots I shouldn't have. Here are some more of my stats (also broken down between 6max and FR... for some reason I didn't think to do that last time... also I removed my hands at 3/6, as they accounted for <2% of the overall hands and the big $ losses skew the data imo):stats2ji6.jpgEwwwww.... another thing I just saw is that the first part of the month I was cbetting 66% of the time, and that dropped down to 56% for some reason.Fold to river bet was constant at 67%, although going through the last group of hands, I seemed to have more bad calls on the river.Again, if you have the time, please take a look at all this, I greatly appreciate it.Bob
Yeah, the big big thing here is W$WSF, and especially on the button. In basic terms, you aren't winning as many pots as you were. For 6max you were at 57%, and that has dropped to 46%, and you dropped from 51% to 45% at full ring.I think I know where the problem is. What I'd like you to do to is this:1) Open up PokerEV2) Load up the first 23k hands (filter for before a certain date, or between two dates)3) Click on filters4) Select this: deeeeeeeeur8.png5) CLICK ON 'BOX' SO YOU GET AN INFO BOX APPEARING ON THE GRAPH TELLING YOU BB/100 AND EQUITY ADJUSTED FIGURES6) Save the graph.7) Repeat for the last 16k handsI think this (one pair on flop) will probably show up a huge chunk of where you are having problems. Honestly, this is where PokerEV REALLY excels. You can run the program twice so you can have both graphs side by side if you want to make it easy to organise. Being able to look at how different parts of your game have improved or not is massively useful.I'm suggesting that one pair hands on the flop are where you are having problems, but it can be worth filtering for flush draws on the flop and comparing, or looking at hands where you have called preflop and comparing. Pots where at least 3 players saw the flop. Pots where you raised preflop and bet the flop. One thing that may be useful is looking at pots smaller than say 10BB or 20BB. The list of things you can look at is honestly endless. If you want to search for particular hand types, close the filters and go to the analysis tab:eedeeeeeefu1.pngYou can then see if you are losing more money than before with certain hands. If the one pair on flop shows up as a big difference then you can refine the filter. Try looking for just "second pair" or "weak pair" on the flop. You want to try and isolate exact parts of your game that are different now. One pair on flop and you called. Whatever. It's fairly quick to keep switching filters around, so just have a play around and see what you can find. The more graphs you create and upload the better. You're looking for areas of your game you were making money before and aren't now, or areas you were breakeven before and are a big loser now, or areas you were losing slowly and are now losing quickly. If you have any trouble/question or need any advice about it, feel free to PM/email/MSN/AIM me.

A casino is a big ol' building, where people's dreams might possibly come true. Especially if you own the building. Casinos get rich, expand a whole city, and get richer, by offering bets where the casino has a two or three percent advantage. But the bets have to be offered, have to be wagered, a million times. Roulette, for instance: red or black, odd or even, high or low, the house has a 5.25% advantage on all but one bet on the layout. Will the customer occasionally have a streak? Of course. A full third of the customers that evening will actually have a winning night. The casino doesn't care. You, of course, would be willing to walk in front of a truck. Will one drunken guy actually make several thousand dollars, having started with twenty bucks? Of course. The casino doesn't care. You, by the way, will not even walk out looking for the truck, you will put a bullet in your brain, right there at the table. The casino is right, and you are not right. "correct mathmatically" might be a better term than "right". You think, apparently, that when you have a winning hand, and the 'customer' is drawing to a flush on the river, You've Got Him Nailed. You don't. You have only created a situation where you have four times the advantage that a casino has. You have a situation where it's 80-20 that you're going to win. Now I want you to work really, really hard on this, because you haven't yet. If it's 80-20 for you, how many times out of a hundred can we predict that the 'customer' will hit his flush? The answer is twenty times out of a hundred. ('Grab that man. Don't let him dash toward the highway'.)Can the 'customer' have a streak of winners? You bet he can. ('Grab that revolver'). He might hit several in a row. Why do you care? (Because you're an idiot). No, it's because you haven't given it the appropriate amount of thought, and because you're not bankrolled well, and because you care about the outcome, and you should not care. You should have enough in your bankroll that you can offer the 'customer' his flush draw about a hundred times a day. You want him (assuming he's dumb enough: but you're right, there are millions of 'em) to call your bet, and shoot for his flush draw. 80-20 in your favor, if he's betting on the river, 60-40 in your favor if he's betting on the turn (and, you get to charge him MORE for the river, if he's not all in). If he wins his bet, and you're smart enough to be a casino, you should comp him: buy him a few drinks, compliment that ugly date he brought with him, buy him dinner if you have to, but keep him right there, making his bet over, and over, again. But not you: you are involved. You are worried. You are so upset that he won one, or ten, of those bets. But the fact is, if that happens a thousand times (that bet where you are 80-20), you will be a rich man. You should be grateful, when you have put the 'customer' in a postion where you offer an 80-20 proposition, and he takes you up on it. Here's what you should do: change your attitude. Play standard poker. Lose your emotion. You don't care about this bet, or the next one. You just want the guy to keep playing, if he's going to keep playing at the odds you're offering. Charge him for his longshot bet. He'll pay? He'll go for it? OUTSTANDING.......Grind it out. (They call it that, for a reason). Lose your personal involvement with one hand, or one session. If you're playing right, the money, in smaller amounts, will roll in. (Not in larger amounts: you're not entitled to larger amounts. When your opponent bets his flush draw and loses, you didn't win the whole amount. You won the whole amount LESS the fact that one out of five times you're going to lose, and thus give some back. But believe me, there will be plenty left over.)Quit caring about your results. Play standard poker. If you're doing it right, the money will roll in. Play standard poker. If you're doing it right, you're offering the customer bets where your advantage is four times that which built Las Vegas. Do it all day long. All week long. All year long. Grind it out.

Okay, you wanted honest. Why on Earth are you playing 2/4 and 3/6? I would say that is your biggest issue right there. Doesn't even matter if you are rolled for it. Just because you are rolled for a limit, does not mean you should be playing it. You certainly haven't played enough hands at the other limits to even consider playing those limits.
You are absolutely right. When I first started sitting at 2/4, I would only do so when I could buy in with 100BB and sit with 5 other losers in my DB who were sitting w/ between 40-70 BBs (these tables run a lot surprisingly). I started winning at these tables either by good table selection or dumb luck, not sure which, and I think I just got overconfident and was like 'oh, I can win at these levels, lets just fire up a couple tables and play 1 or 2 every session'. Yeah... bad idea.

100% agree wholeheartedly with this. I have always refrained from posting stats and asking for deep advice on my game because I felt bad asking him or anyone else to spend a bunch of time trying to help my stupid ass out, but I reached wit's end this time and greatly appreciate all the time and effort that he (and the rest of you) put in helping others. In an effort to not clutter up this thread, I just PMed Simo my graphs. Unless of course all of you want to see how much I suck in more depth. :club:

fwiw, i had a similar thing going on at 50 and 100nl last month...i moved down to 25nl for the month, not because my bankroll wouldnt allow me to play higher..but because it has allowed me to become unattached to the variance assosciated with poker...at least to some extent...try it imo
