one of the grosser hands that im a bit pissed i didn't fold turn was this.3/6 plo, we are like 1400 effective. folds to sb playing 50/12 and he pots, i call with a subpar hand QQ4x single sooted, but im in pos...maybe shoulda 3bet pf as pos really owns this game, but idk, prob not with a hand that weak...anyways.flop QA3dd and he pots, i take safe route and just call, turn is a 6o and he c/r me insta 90 to pot, which was like 270 more to me. I think in hindsight this is a fold, and my gut was telling me to fold, but then blind v blind made me wanna call, not to mention i thought he might try and do this with a hand like AQKJdd or something big like that, but i didn't really have that solid of a read, and don't give ppl credit for being tricky in this spot with a hand like that..idk...i really wanted to fold for some reason, but time banked called. river was a diamond and he checked. pretty positive he didnt have the flush, but i diddn't think i could push him off a hand if if bet, but i may be mistaken. if i bet it, i'd be fine with the result (call/fold) but decided to take the weaker player line and just check behind. So much for using position.he had aa and i was a little pissed at going against my instincts of the turn but what can you do.going out now. have a good christmas fellas. or holiday, or w/e the politically correct thing is.- Jordan

Given the way the hand has played obviously folding the turn is the play but if you pot bet river you make it really difficult for him to call anything but a big flush, you played your hand like some flush/combo draw and if you pot bet its super tough to call with top set there.

Is this standard for you or was it villain specific? FWIW if I'm villain with AK, I'm probably playing it similarly (aside for the bet sizing on the turn). I also don't know how often I 4bet AK in position (probably 25/75)
