Don't focus on winning and losing in individual sessions. Limit is especially swingy, keep playing if you feel like you are playing well and the table's good. If you're tired and not playing well, then quit.
I know this is an extremely general question but should and what type of #s should I be looking for when I pick a table? like Avg pot, Plrs a flop, or some PT stats?

When I'm joining tables (limit or NL) I look first for high flop%, then high average pot. You want tables where the money is flying around. There aren't specific numbers I look for, just the highest available.

I dont look at avg pots or high flop % for NL, I look for even stacks, because I dislike playing against shortstacks and big stacks. I like them all around the 150-250 range. (75-125 BB range)I stole this from Mark, he can elaborate for sure.

I personally don't mind playing against shortstacks. I feel like somebody who has a shortstack most likely plays poorly, so I have a bigger edge over them rather than somebody who buys in full.

Hope you guys dont mind me posting my results in here.

Here a the last two hands from the last Sit n go I played. I was in 4 of these. All of them ended brutally, this one was just two much. I realize alone these two are not that brutal, but one right after the other is just to much for me. It has been like this since moving to Stars. yeah basically I like a lot of average players. Huge stacks generally indicate really good players. Shortstackers usually suck, so if there is one at the table and they are on my right, thats ok.But I raise a lot pf, so I don't like shorties to my left cause they shove on me a lot and I can barely ever call them.So like Teddy said, a bunch of people right around the buyin for the table is ideal for me.Mark

I can't remember the exact start point, but I'm up about 70Kish since the beginning of the year. But I've been stuck at 70K for over a month now, basically been even for the last 6 weeks.Mark
That's because you're learning a new style of play and adding new weapons to your arsenal (this style happens to have higher variance). Tiger Woods faded off the radar for a year while he revamped his swing, but nobody can argue that that was a poor choice now. Short term sacrifice for long term gain.Cheers,Merby

It can be done, $30 dollars after donking my bankroll playing tourneys I couldn't afford to just under $400 today. The most important part is bankroll management, don't leave 1c/2c till you have around 125 or more if you plan to buy in for $5 at 2c/5c, which I recommend.Edit www.donk2shark.com for some videos that are decent at 1c/2c

I've seen a lot of hands on AP and it seems like if there's 3-4-5 on the board that either a 2 or 6 will eventually come to give a straight. Yeah my evidence blows but I've seen it over and over again when I have a set that I lose to something like 5-6 or 2-3.. and I've also seen a lot boards with 4 of one suit.. Could be that I'm in a sweet downswing and I don't remember the other hands but those are two things I've seen a lot of.Also, players on AP will not fold which means you have to have the best hand and have it hold (can be hard to do). I've played a little on PS and seems like people kind of know how to fold. I shouldn't be complaining because thte AP people will end up paying me off in the long run once their cards don't hit.Poker StarsLimit Holdem Ring gameLimit: $1/$25 playersConverterStack sizes:UTG: $34.50GarbageBag: $53.75Button: $68.75SB: $14.25BB: $33Pre-flop: (5 players) GarbageBag is CO with Q :club: Q :D UTG folds, GarbageBag raises, Button 3-bets, SB calls, BB calls, GarbageBag caps, Button calls, SB calls, BB calls.Flop: 7 :D K :D 6 :D (16SB, 4 players)SB checks, BB checks, GarbageBag bets, 3 folds.Uncalled bets: 1SB returned to GarbageBag. Wanted to see how others would have played this. I know it's probably a stupid question but someone else and I were discussing it at the table. I'm not the hero in the hand.
