ChrisRichey 1
I have started to play TD after almost a year and a half off, and have been doing fairly well on PS. I find myself playing HU a lot of times, and am sort of unsure as to how you change your starting hand requirements against tight and loose players. Any other major adjustments I need to make? Zach6668 513
If anything just play more hands in position.I'm not as helpful as I wish I was in this thread, but someone will come in and say like T draws, etc.
checkymcfold 0
since you'll have position every button and MOST low limit players will be utterly clueless how to adapt to HU play, you can raise a LOT of buttons with weird draws. pretty much any 3 to a nine in a lot of spots, if you know when to break a nine in position HU. if not, stick to any 3 card 8 draw.against better players you won't want to change your starting hand selection too much unless you feel like you're getting run over. keep it similar to how you'd play the sb when it's open to you (though be a little careful since you can't assume good cards remain in the deck HU). on later streets you'll want to play more aggressively as well. generally pat nines after one draw, jacks or better after two, and try to get people to break hands a LOT. this will allow you to run over a lot of opponents.good luck. checkymcfold 0
What about when you're three handed? And thanks for the great info!3 handed i'm not entirely sure about, but personally, i stop playing all but the best nine draws (and those only from the button) but still keep up the aggression with seemingly bad 8 draws. and np
Vman96 0
I am tighter HU than checky is here and I am still much more aggressive than my avg. opponent. I often play 3 card 7 draws, some 3 card 8 draws...most 2 card 8 draws.
aucu 3
HU in any game is not so much playing the cards, it's more about the player. I always try to take control, be agr and pull a lot of deceptice tricks like standing pat with marginal hands and let them miss the draw. HU Razz may be the only exception where the cards dictate it all.
