Agreed

Especially after I just got the bill for the last card, which had one exciting fight and had 10 decisions on 12 fights. Don't get me wrong, a decision doesn't equal boring, but these were.

Cormier is gonna wrestle and out point. Rousey will finish, but whatever. It really is like watching the sport 15 years ago when watching the women. Rory seems boring lately and Maia can be the same at times.

To be fair there were 4-5 ppv's before the last one that were all very good. 2013 was a huge year in terms of amazing cards. And I'm not going to lie, I thought the Rousey Tate fight was amazing. I like the women fights. But I don't think it is big enough to carry a card, especially when the co-main is a fight with a no-name. I will probably buy this just because I've got nothing else to do today

There goes about 3/4 of a years worth of winnings.

Seats - There are no good seats (unless you are ringside). We had floor seats 11 rows from the ring... pretty close and I paid quite a bit. I couldn't see shit. You can't see over other people's heads

i'll def watch, no way i'd drop 50-60 bucks on it tho

I'd rather spend money than watch a fight on a crappy website that cuts out every 30 seconds. Do you have a website that you can watch for free without having those problems?

The Rousey/Tate fight was def solid. No complaints. But this card, I'm not even recording the pre-lims. I get that names have to be built, but this card, as far as names are concerned, is a straight up turd, even with Rashad

Sounds like I should be proud of myself for skipping that last night.

Ufc 171 looks like it should be good as long as nobody gets injured

I haven't watched any of the dana white interviews from last night. But I'd be surprised if the Cyborg thing actually happens. Dana is going to want to sign her to a multifight deal and Cyborg sounds like she just wants to fight Rousey at 135 but not stay at 135

This UFC Fight pass crap is irritating me. I have bought enough damn PPVs over the years where this $10 a month bs bothers me. I'll wait it out, maybe move away from the sport a little if need be. Two consecutive $60 charges on my directtv bill yet now I gotta pay $120 a year for a crappy TUF season and a few decent fights here and there

Its chiseling. Hate it. They're missing the big-big picture; that if they make it too expensive for someone to keep up and remain a fan, they'll lose fans.

JDS v Miocic announced for 173.

I have a medium straight position on Jimi Manuwa against Gus, as well as small position on Akhmedov

And allow me to explain my reasoning (which opens me up to criticism from sideliners if Manuwa goes out there and gets triangled in the first 40 seconds, but it is what it is)

Gus is priced on the basis of his performance against Jones.

What the herd doesn't fully understand is that his performance against Jones was because of a huge, ego driven tactical error made by Jones; he traditionally tries to out-(insert specialty here) against any given specialist. He made a huge, huge error trying to out-box a talented boxer who was as long as he was... Still won the disputed D but even Jones himself admitted that the razor thin outcome of that fight was based on his overestimating his ability to out-box Gus and full credit to him, because he's absolutely correct. The herd does not understand what this implies.

Manuwa has completely shitbagged every fighter he's gone against. Made them look like children, including his 3 in the big show. That's meaningful. While not top guys, winning in the UFC, even against middling fighters, is the acid test because you're facing a huge step up in competition that you're not going to get in lesser promotions. He went through them like they were made of paper.

I made money repeatedly shoving big on an underpriced Glover when he first came into the UFC, I'm strongly sensing that Manuwa may be the same 'thing'. He's definitely getting a major test against Gus, Gus also has wrestling and subs which I don't think Manuwa has faced on a high level so that's where the risk is IMO (in addition to Manuwas untested gas) but I absolutely do not think it takes 3.75 parallel universes before what I've seen from Manuwa wins one against what I've seen from Gustaffson.

The only thing that guarantees none of this goes as planned is if Tanner comes on saying that he coat-tailed me. If that happens, then shove on Gus because it guarantees I lose.

If he wins this, he's getting a shot and aside from that fight, he'll never be priced a dog again.

It may be your last chance to get him on the + side and in the +350 range to boot.

Win some fights then I'll start coattailing you again

I agree about the fight pass crap. I'm with you Ron I'm not paying extra after I already pay $60 a month for ppv's. **** that

I am seriously tempted to go back and make charts and graphs that demonstrate my general performance versus my performance whenever you coat tailed me.

Its so consistent that I should probably be asking you whenever you feel confident enough to coat tail a pick, that will be a signal my insight is bad and to fade myself.

I'm sorry that you lost. I'm sure that you lost because of my 3 or 4 $20 bets that shared your side, not because your predictions were just off

Actually, I heard that the fighters heard about your "coat-tailing" and decided to underperform. So knock it off

Although, I can appreciate the superstitious nature of a gambler

(just to be abundantly clear since dry, blaming sarcasm doesn't translate through the internet)]

I'm completely kidding about the whole coat-tailing thing.

Tanners gonna tanner.

And BigD is going to BigD, making a post in a thread where he hardly ever posts just to throw fuel on the fire.

I mean I didn't really care that much, but sarcastic or not amscray fired a shot, I fired back, he did it again, so I fired back again. I might have misinterpreted it a little so my bad

Agreed with this, drawing the line is definitely the correct wording. I'm already paying extra for HBO, Showtime, redzone during football season, league pass for NBA, usually a ufc ppv... the madness needs to stop.

I'm looking forward to 171 and 173. I will probably skip 172, I don't think Texeira can touch Jones and I don't want to see another 1 sided massacre in the main event.
