Rumor Regarding Chexx Inc.

Recommended Posts

If you are winning this money from sites deemed illegal by the gov't and not paying taxes on it and not reporting it to the IRS than there I'm sure is some legal issues present here.
Who said anything about not paying taxes?Look, I know you love confrontations and stirring ppl up, as the majority of your posts on this forum have been of that variety. Basically I don't feel like debating and it would be cool if you just posted constructive thoughts about Chexx Inc. in this thread. Thanks.

Im trying to be nice here. I just find it ironic that the same guy that is stating he is depressed, whining about online poker funds being locked up etc, is still holding on to its not illegal. Your a poker player right? So you gamble for a living, what people are doing right now is gambling on online poker not getting shut down while their money is in limbo, so look at it the same way as that. Along those lines if you don't learn from your mistakes in poker you will inevitably lose, same applies here man. So gl, I wish you the best

Ultimate Bet better now screw me. I hate them to the utmost and have little faith in them as a company and I have a lot of money pending and on the way...meh. I hate my life.Edit: From the time I read the first response in this thread I've dropped $1200 in cash games. At least I don't have to worry about taking it out... :club:

uhhh its not illegal to play online poker. (in some states yes)
If it's not illegal for (most) Americans to play online poker, then there is no such thing as laundering money from online poker. If Office Space taught me anything, it was the definition of money laundering, which of course, states that the money would have to have been obtained illegally in the first place. So, something less to worry about, maybe.- Zach

i have done a lot of research on this topic and it is NOT illegal to play. the new legislation has said nothing about online poker being illegal or that it is illegal for citizens to play online poker. the only thing they could rely on would be there ambigious definintion of what Unlawful internet gambling. Good luck to them ever trying to prove that poker falls under that peice of **** definition. it does however say that if you state has made online poker illegal then it is illegal obviously but most states have not taken a stance on that issue yet. all they have to go on is case law and there is a lot of case law going both ways. so really you are incorrect to say that it is illegal at this time to play online poker.just wanted to throw my two cents out there... i know this is about chexxx inc. so i will let this thread get back on topic

I have 0 facts. I know nothing. Except that every serious online poker pro that I know is very worried about their money and what is going to happen to them. Netteller didn't send signals. I haven't received any money that I've tried to take out in the past 21 days.I'm pretty much convinced that online poker is over for me until something huge changes. And I'm crying, laughing maniacally, faking disinterest all at the same time. I'm pretty screwed if I don't get this money. I'm already pretty screwed that online poker seems to be taking body blow after body blow everyday. I see no reasons to be optimistic. Anyways, I'm a pessimist I'd rather be pleasantly surprised than to feel like I got sucker punched.

I understand it's a rough time for you online pro's since this has been not only your life for the past so many years, but an income to help support your family and yourselves. Online poker has provided us with many opportunities that otherwise would have never presented themselves in the real world.Yeah all of this sucks really bad, but I think you guys just need to not say this or that about everything but rather fully understand the situation for what it is and not jump to any conclusions... and not just about chexx checks, but everything related to online poker in the past few months... I think you guys need to take a deep breath. The new payment processors will be coming. As someone said, Full Tilt is going to be introducing new methods in the immediate future. I got an e-mail last night from Absolute which said they will be offering new payment methods very soon. Neverwin's Pokerstars rumour hasn't come true yet, but I'm sure they are working on it.Here's an article from Cardplayer today. http://www.cardplayer.com/poker_news/article/8214 Ignore the first half of it (legalese) but read the "What E-wallet is available?" part. To sum of it, a new company called YouTeller will be starting up in March and unlike Neteller they have no NAFTA branches so they are not affected by US legislation. I understand the panic about your money, but this business is not going anywhere, its just a period of transition. The new payment processors are just around the corner.

"have no NAFTA branches so they are not affected by US legislation." That is the dumbest thing I've heard. These other companies thought they were above the law as well because they were licensed in a country other than the US. You guys will just be jumping from one processor to another to another. I find that funny. Yes, new ones will pop up. Most of them will be fly-by-night companies who may have good intentions at the beginning, but will most likely take your money and run. The sites themselves should be doing this and I won't put another penny on them until they actually provide the services. No third party is going to get a penny from me. And shouldnt from you either.

If anyone else is feeling like this, feel free to PM me - I am Canadian, and trustworthy - and wouldn't mind actually winning on UB... Meaning that you'd get your money back sooner rather than later.PS: Did a search for Chexx checks, and seems like on Jan 29th or so, some guy from 2+2 cashed a 175k one...

It's a good thing I didn't say it then. However, if other e-wallet companies avoid the mistakes made by Neteller and other e-wallets, they will thrive. Has E-passporte been touched yet? No. They may not be as efficient as Neteller but they are still in business with US customers. When a company comes along that is efficient as Neteller is/was, they will dominate the market much like Neteller did. I'm Canadian. I still use Neteller. I move thousands around on a daily/weekly basis and still have no problems. Everyone should take precautions with their money. I did long before Neteller shutdown to US customers. I never keep money in Neteller. I never have. I just use it to move money from site to site. I feel that the sites are the safest place to keep my money other than my bank and I still feel that way. I'd feel that way if I was American. Your money is safe on the sites, you just might not be able to touch it for a while. These issues will get resolved sooner rather than later.New payment processors are coming. Pokerstars is apparently working on providing the services itself. The sky is not falling, people just need to be patient.

gambling 911 isn't the most reliable source to say the least...
Perhaps, but it sounds like that is just the answer they got from a Neteller rep. No reason to make that stuff up...I'd believe it a lot less if it was "a rumor you wont get paid for 6 months".

I don't think I've seen this mentioned yet on FCP, but Neverwin rumored, very confidently, that PokerStars was nearing completion of an internal banking system where you deposit and receive directly from them, or something to that affect. Any validity to this?
