Flopn Nutz 0
So I was in AC this weekend to play some cash and check out the WPT. Great weekend overall, up $1800 playin cash. I went to Borgata to check out the WPT and some of the pros whod been eliminated were in the high stakes area playing cash. Matusow, Singer, Williams, and a couple unknown players had a roped off table playing what looked to be 100-200NL. A young guy in maybe his mid 20's walked up to the rope and said "hey Mike how about I get in the game?" Mike said "what are you, one of those internet kids that busts me all day." The young guy said "yeah actually" while laughing. Mike asked him for his username and the kid didnt give it up. The guy then raised his hand with a stack of about 10 chips and said "come on Mikey, I got a $100k, can I sit?" and Mike said "sorry man, not this game."My question is, as a pro player, why wouldnt you want a complete uknown to join the table with $100k? Why play with the same dudes all the time passing money to eachother?
WowThats 0
If the game was being taped for later sale why add another degenerate to the mix.
showstopper24 0
it seems suprising-one would think matusow would want all internet players
DonkSlayer 1
He might've let him if he gave up his username. If the table was fishy for him, I understand why he wouldn't want to add in another pro. I think I know who you're talking about at the borgata...did he wear some hollister stuff that just kinda hung off him, and he was small with dark hair but pale complexion? He's usually at the 50-100 NL game on the weekends. Sick table.
Flopn Nutz 0
It wasnt being taped, it was just roped so people couldnt get closer then like 5 feet. This kid was tall as ****, probably like 6 5ish. They were only playing 6 handed to. It just surprised me that Mike said no.

GWCGWC 83
Someone in AC correct me if I'm wrong. My understanding is that it's against gaming regulations to have a private game in a casino. The kid should have been able to get on the list.
silkyjonson 1
I know in Vegas you cannot exclude anyone from a game if they have the minimum buy in. Not sure about AC but I would think they may have similar laws in place? Sounds a little weird, most pros like fresh meat, but than again most WINNING pros practice good bank roll management and try to play in juicy games.
pezeveng 207
The only thing I can think of is relating this to sports gambling. When taking bets from a regular gambler its cool because in the long run the guy will lose. During superbowl or worse the World Cup (soccer) guys want to put in a one time bet. I had a guy that wanted a grand on Italy why accept this bet when you know this guy may never bet with you again. So why play poker with a guy you may never see again, and never have a chance to win your money back from him. I understand poker is played amongst strangers all the time but the bigger games are a tighter circle.
