David_Nicoson 1
I've seen that tournament and I thought he played poorly...All in...all in...and he gave his chips away to skalansky. But I didn't know he was in a hurry. That's speculation on my part.

LongLiveYorke 38
I used to think Doyle may have been somewhat overrated and more of a living legend than an actual amazing player until I started watching High Stakes Poker. I think Doyle's tournament skill is extremely formidable and his record attests to that fact, but I think it is his cash game play that truely makes him among the best if not the best ever. He plays nearly perfect poker for all three seasons (or at least what I've seen). No one else at the table comes close (except for Daniel, of course...). He truely dominates the game, which makes sense since high limit cash games are his bread and butter. So, to the OP, I'm pretty sure you're wrong.

The flop came like 249 and chip bt half the pot and doyle quickly folded...... What a fish.. Plays like this make me really think how much he sucks

SilentButDeadly3 0
I honestly don't think Doyle is that good. Is it just me? I think there are MANY better players than Doyle....Ivey, Grinder, Berry Greenstein, Markholt, and many many more.Wow.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyZdGTVAalEWatch this then get back to me. My fave part is personally what Bloch says.On The Circuit he said that it was a bad play for him to bet the flop because he knew Chip had a big pair.

Azwethinkweiz 0
Listen, you really need to stop summing up an icon's entire career by what you see edited on television. You are seeing special circumstances in special situations on your television. Television poker isn't the end all, be all, determining factor in what makes a player. Take the time to learn the game. If you were an aspiring basketball player, im sure you would know key statistics and highlights of Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, etc., If you were an aspiring director, im sure you would have a keen grasp on the many icons in the movie world's style. What makes this particular interest, poker, different? Stating you think Lee Markholt deserves more acclaim then Doyle Brunson, is asinine. You're on Daniel Negreanu's home turf to interact with the world. Have you ever taken the time to learn his tremendous accomplishments in the late nineties to pre-2003 television boom?Doyle Brunson still plays on a consistent basis 2-4 days a week in the biggest game in the world. Every single player in that game that has ever made a comment about it has said Doyle is at the top of his game, argubly the best, close to it, still in the world. In a nutshell, just trying to say, take the time to learn your aspirations. Quit making your conclusion because you watch a re-run on ESPNclassic of Doyle exiting the main event on day one. Those are edited situations. You arent seeing the 200 hands prior to the hand that knocked him out.

Livaso 0
I can't believe they brought DOYLE BRUNSON back for another season of High Stakes Poker. Give the poor man a break. Can't the producers tell he's dying out there? He might even start to think people aren't just chip dumping to him to make him feel better.
