Daniel, I was wondering how much (if any) of the commentary from high stakes poker is actually candid or if it is done after the fact. Gabe and AJ do a pretty good job with making it seem like it actually is candid, but it just seems to make more sense to do the commentary afterwards. Surely, there isn't really a studio where Gabe and AJ sit and can see the hole cards while the actual play is going on....is there??

It's after the fact. No way any of the other players would let him commentate during actual live play with seeing their hole cards. If I am wrong, DN should personally correct me...lol

All of these shows commentary are done after the fact, except where its live. You can figure this out when Farha and Greenstein went head to head with AA vs KK right before they went to commercial and AJ made a comment like you dont want to miss the last hand of the day, leading you to believe this was done afterwards, just one example.

I thought the whole thing was good ... a great "twist" having Gabe play and Daniel do commentary .... looking forward to next week. Also great with the whole lending Gold $50K thing and having him get up from the table because he was embarassed?
