Seminole Hard Rock

Recommended Posts

Best place for tourneys in S. Florida is at the old Seminole place just south on 441 from the Hardrock.
the players in these tournies jus flat out suck. in 06 i played 4 mtt's, won the 1st won ft'ed the 2nd two. if we had NL cash games down here, that'd be my 40 hour job. luckily i met someone there that runs a 2/5 game which i've been goin to for almost a year now

well im gonna go to the one in palm beach because it's way closer than jacksonville, thanks for the info. though
The palm beach princess insn't bad at all. the games are pretty dam soft in general and the rake is very fair. You can get on for the poker room rate which I think is like 15dollars, they have a 2-5 200 max game pretty much every night and they have a rebuy 35$ on wed and mondays I believe. I dont really like it because of the time constraint but its a good game none the less.

I remember seeing this discussed in another thread. If Florida had legalized cash games it would be the best games in the country AINEC, the play is soooo bad and there are so many people with money and nothing to do that its ridiculous. Seeing the play at the Hard Rock sit and go's it is laughable.

You are wrong, its not all rake. The payouts for the $250's are $1075, 640ish and 440I'm not sure of the exact numbers but it isn't all that bad, then again I've never been to VegasIt depends, I find it to be just as much play as online. Its about 9-12 hands a level and usually gets down to 5 people 45 minutes in and some take an hour to hour and 15 minutes.Try it out and see how you like it, I personally find it to have some play
No, not alot of play. I've played tons of sng's at the Hard Rock. Trust me, I know. I even stopped playing there unless I was totally goofing around looking for entertainment when they decreased the number of chips on the $250 sngs from $2500 to $2000. It's a pushfest with 2k in chips and blinds starting at 50/100 and 15 minute levels.
better than atlanta
agreed
I dont see how you can argue that it has some play. Online has sooooooo much more play then these, but I still think they are +ev if you know when to shove. I believe the blinds start at 25/50 with a 2k stack and double every 10 minutes. Am I correct?
50/100
Can someone please explain the FLA rules for Poker. Are they the same at the dog tracks as the Indian Casinos. What limits is there no limit or spread limit. Any help would do.
try reading my first post sport.

The one in Palm Beach I've been on tons of times. Play isn't great. A few rocky regulars, a couple of novices and a few players that are a little decent but not stupendous. Then there are some good players, like me. hahaProblem with the boat is, they try to charge you $35 to get on. Then, you are only gambling from 7:10pm (6:30 cruise) to 10:45pm at the latest. So, with good dealers dealing 30 hands an hour, you are lucky if you get 120 hands in. You fall into the habit of pushing marginal cards just to see a flop or two. Unless you catch a rush.

Yes the money is pretty insane the highest table we have is the 1k SNG, but there 5k+ sidebets that go on, my nextdoor neighbor is pretty known down there and frequents the 1k table, and got knocked out by Mizrachi not to long ago, but there are alot of shady things that go on down there so you gotta be careful, mostly Israeli's having signals when playing, and some crazy stuff, I don't know if anybody knows the owner of the Swap Shop(ppl in sfl do) but he just dropped over 500k a few weeks ago, and has some crazy sidebets that go on, and still the play is not all that good. So many ppl have sick money that just suck, I'm definitely trying the Palmbeach princess next week, yes FL would be the top place in the U.S. if we had NL cash games, but boats are cool too, I'll write a little trip report when I try it out next week.
