Zach6668 513
Man, the Pens are playing sick hockey right now.I know the Panthers suck, but they're not taking any bad penalties, they're drawing calls, they're playing solid defensively, and Conklin has been a rock back there.7 in a row, and 8 in a row for Conklin!I hope we can shutout the Bolts on Thursday and Crosby can rack up a few points to close in on Vinny.Weeeeeeeeeee! Fenxis 99
... and Conklin has been a rock back there.7 in a row, and 8 in a row for Conklin! Two phrases I don't think anyone ever expected to utter.
doox 15
I'm afraid if I start liking Conklin, he'll go back to sucking. I'll just keep my mouth shut for now.
dEv~ 19
7 wins in a row and I haven't seen a second of any of the games. I really do think I maybe onto something here.

Zach6668 513
Yeah, that was a bogus call, but it's easy to get something like that wrong in the heat of the moment.=================Another win for the boys.8 in a row.If NJ ever starts losing, maybe we can take the division lead. dEv~ 19
playing some amazing/inspired hockey right nowthought I've only seen one game of the entire streak I was very impressed by their play in the 2nd and 3rd periods last night. Conklin saved them in the first and the rest of the team stepped up the rest of the way. 3 goals from the Staal (2), Malone (1), Sykora line.SIDE NOTE : Krup everytime I see you post I think of my roommates panini maker. tentenoffsuit 0
the Krups panini maker looks like an Xbox...so yeah... 89 pages and i never knew there was a dedicated Pens topic. The Penguins-Flyers game at Beaver stadium will never happen in a million years... Penn St. will never let their precious field be used for anyting but football. The Special Olympics wanted to use the stadium one year and was denied. You think they'd let them put ice on it? hahahaha... If it ever happened i'd go see it though...Go Pens

PSU'd be stupid to turn it down so hopefully the NHL shows some interest.

dEv~ 19
I guess the streak had to end sometime. I didn't see the game but from the highlights it looked like conklin played well but lehtonen just did a little better.Lets hope the Pens can start beating on their Atlantic Division foes starting with NYR monday night.
doox 15
Lehtonen has some amazingly quick reactions on his glove side and probably deserved 2 points. You know the media will now spin their streak from "unbeaten streak" to "unbeaten in regulation in x games" though.

You know the media will now spin their streak from "unbeaten streak" to "unbeaten in regulation in x games" though. He deserved and got 2 points. Making a team more interesting is the media's job. Points in 9 straight is accurate and meaningful as long as there isn't a large number of OT losses mixed in there.
dEv~ 19
Great first period for the Pens tonight as they took a 3-0 lead. I thought they seemed to basically coast the rest of the way as they were outshot 30-11 in the 2nd and 3rd periods. Conklin only let up one tough goal and he did his part to help the Pens pull to within a tie with NJ for the Atlantic Division lead.
